I must've missed the part where she said she spent 5:1. I thought she said it was generally 2-3:1 too  Did she say she bought a watch before getting her B25? I'm curious if she had to spend probably more than 3:1 (not even including the watch yet), because a B25 in black is like the most coveted? Or is it because she goes into her store wearing lot of Chanel every visit, so her SA knows she has a lot of money to spend? IDK why that thought crossed my mind, but it did lol. We know where she lives, Vancouver, is very competitive though.

That ratio sounds pretty typical for a B25 in Vancouver (2-3:1, not 5:1)

She mentioned 2or 3 to one in her video; and yes she said she was so desperate even knowing it was minimum a year (not sure why she was so desperate then if she knew she has to wait).
I believe she said the expected/average pre-spend ratio at her boutique is 2:1 to 3:1, but she spent way more than that & didn't feel comfortable disclosing it. Some of the viewers speculated that it's be around 5:1 based on what she has purchased so who knows

Yeah considering she documents all her purchases in her unboxings, it's very high. To get a B25 at this time when the demand has sky-rocketed is not surprising.

To be fair, POF did get offered quota bag(s?) (and several non quota bags) in the past while shopping at the boutique. My cousin also shop at the same boutique and she's been telling me how limited the stock has been even before the pandemic. That to me sounds like they've treated POF quite fairly (and almost generous?) and it wasn't until the staff discovered she's been selling H boxes and ribbons on eBay that's when the relationship with the boutique went south. She then started getting letters one after another but instead of correcting her actions because Australia is more strict on the reselling policy, she doubled down on it and tried to play the victim. Also the emails she wrote to her previous SA, I don't know about you, but they read as a shopping list/stocking up for her resell business to me.

I could be totally wrong on this but from my own shopping experience most of the regular clients at H that I've chatted with at the boutiques have been very pleasant and don't come off as demanding/entitled as POF. But it was always the resellers who come in asking for the most expensive CDC bracelet that got loud with the SA and borderline losing their marbles when the SA tell them no bag available. I even had one couple stopped me in front of the boutique trying get me to sell them my quota bag, then left angrily when I told them no as if I've wasted their time.
I wasnt aware about the emails. Which other letter did she get? Her video only mentions 2 of them (the lip gloss thing) and then again for GP

I watched that video last night, she said she also bought a watch some time before getting the offer. I haven't watched any of her previous videos and I'm not going to, but the whole process certainly seemed exhausting for her, which is really not how it's supposed to feel. She's the first YouTuber I've seen that won't give a rough ballpark of their ratio though.

emails were showcased in the first meltdown video from 2021, in which were detailed her quite extensive wishlist and a myriad of personal details, including but not limited to: exact date of she and her husband were trying for a second child, birthdays, anniversaries, medical conditions, etc.

This Youtuber is also from Vancouver. According to a comment in the Hermes Vancouver thread, this YTer received a gold on gold K25 sellier just after 5 months of starting her H journey, with a pre-spend of 3:1.

The Vancouver boutique is quite intimidating, and their ratio is well known to be high, but they are soooo well stocked. I wonder if B25 is harder to get than K25 in Vancouver? I assumed they were of similar difficulty, but recently have seen people say that at least in North America B25 is more sought after because Birkins in general are more popular than Kellys here.

Yeah I found it really interesting that she (Amy) absolutely refused to give an estimate of her prespend. It’s her right of course to share what she likes but not sure what the big secret is when she’s making videos on the topic. To me that says she’s likely ashamed of how much she ended up spending (and would still be spending if she hadn’t gotten the offer).
I also believe it was likely around 5:1 hence why she was so incredibly frustrated & exhausted. The time frame wasn’t too awful, about a year?, so the spending really did her in and she clearly wasn’t enjoying it.

I believe it (everything re: Van). I haven't had the time to check out their new store since they moved a block from their old location as I'd have to drive up from Seattle. Bigger store = better stocked, or so we can all hope!

A year?! That's nothing in the H world, esp given Covid & the awful supply chain/distribution nightmare.

that's the sense I got from her as well, that she was embarrassed to say, which may signify that her ratio was indeed quite high. 5:1 for a B25 does seem a little out there for a first offer. I don't how she is w/ her SA, but if at any time she came off desperate I feel like SAs could definitely sense that and take advantage. I also don't know what the big rush was for her, since the quota in Canada is 1 per year

I've found that Amy rarely ever talks about prices in her videos. But I'm very nosy. So, I've actually tried to estimate how much her pre-spend is. Please don't think I'm crazy lol.

2021: cdc 24, blanket (?$1700), cdc ring ($2155), kelly ring ($2885), 4 of 90X90 scarves ($2K), 140 shawl ($1500), scarf ring ($260), colette loafers ($1325), paris loafers ($1325), royal loafers ($1375), apple watch ($1789), t-shirt ($860), cap ($465), cap ($600), cap ($780), nail polish as gift ($63) = ~$19,082

2022: 2 chypre sandals (2 X ?$790 = ?$1580), cliquetis sweater ($1675), lift sweater ($1450), cropped pants ($1700), t-shirt ($860), fleece jacket ($1100), cocoon base layer ($610), men's polo ($455), apple watch strap ($619), eze sandals ($730), 90X90 scarf ($500), farandole pendant ($1940), 4 sushi plates online = ~$13,219

I'm not counting her cdc 24 or sushi plates, b/c I think she said that fashion jewelry and online purchases don't count. I saw in another Canadian youtuber's video that a B25 costs $11,100. Amy's approx pre-spend might've been $32,201? lol. This is not counting her watch, not counting gifts (like scarves and fashion jewelry) she said she got for other people, not counting things I might've missed lol, and not counting her two non-quota bags.

I'm guessing she spent a bit over 3:1 (I got the impression she got a few scarves as gifts for other people) and a watch to get her B25.
