The stores are polite and they are used to cater to international customers. They speak from Russian to Chinese. That is for the first floor. The third floor is the hardest one (leather goods). My SM left the store but they were super helpful. They are trying to locate a discontinued colour Birkin. They took the info on possible colours and HW. This would have never happened 2 years ago when it was impossible to approach them.
If you have a B of K, bring them to the store. It should help. Also having a suisse address seemed to be important when I filled my form, although I am a regular customer.
I would try Geneva where they have a stock. Weekday earlier in the day may be best and not near their lunch break.
Hi just wanted to check in travelling to Switzerland which are the places could I try and score a Kelly 28 I’m a first time buyer . What should I do should I try and get other things first or should I straight away ask for the Kelly . I’m coming all the way from india only for this gonna try in Paris as well so nervous . Also do you have the latest prices thank u sooo much

I could help with Geneva.
Hi Sarah!
I know this is a really old post but I was wondering if you could help with Hermes Geneva?

I will be in Switzerland very soon on the 22nd Nov and will be making my way to Basel &/or Geneva. I actually have to choose one or the other to visit because of time constraints and couldn’t decide which to visit then decided I will choose based on which Hermes I will have better luck at

At first I was really disheartened when reading the Hermes Switzerland thread as sooo many tpfers have said that Hermes Switzerland do not sell B/K to tourists. I’ve been wanting a mini kelly and a k25 for the longest time now and never managed to score one (even in Paris even though i’ve purchased other things like other not as popular bags , even a mens bag for my dad and wallets etc).

I read in one of your post that you could introduce some good SAs in Geneva store to any of us who are interested? I am looking to purchase other things such as jackets and other rtw and shoes. I definitely admire Hermes’ entire brand DNA, not just for their Birkin/Kelly. They are such a sophisticated elegant brand & I want to start purchasing more from them in other departments such as rtw or jewelry!

I know that being a tourist will mean I will get slim to no chance of getting a mini kelly or kelly 25 even if i purchase rtw/jewelry so I would really appreciate if you have an SA who could help? By the way I wanted to PM you but could not find how to do it! Apologies for my super long post in advance! Looking forward to hearing from you!

Any reason why you don’t want to work with your local store? You’d likely have much better success by putting those purchases toward your local store and starting a long term relationship rather than trying to get a quick hit as a tourist.

I can imagine, and know, how much you would love to get a mini K or in a 25 size. I know from my store that those sizes are impossible to get at the moment. They allowed me to do a SO, special order, to get a mini Kelly as the stock is so low. I know you would like me to share some names of SA’s but I am not allowed by the SA’s themselves as you can imagine the nature of the public store and how many people will already go and ask them for the bags. I would suggest that the best options are to keep persisting in Paris or in a local shop. I think sadly the Swiss stores have such little stock at the moment that even getting a scarf I like has proven difficult. With the low stock these stores will try to cater to their locals. What I have learned with H is that gentle persistence and waiting pays off in the long run. I am sorry I am not able to share names and I hope you understand why.

Thank you for taking the time to reply! I definitely understand why you don’t want to share names. I was surprised when you told another tpfer that you could help with Geneva H, though that was years ago & of course I understand things have changed so much since then.

aside from kellys, do you think its still possible to get other bags such as lindys, mini verrous or roulis? Or is it low stock for those as well?

And what about the Basel store? Do you think it being a smaller city than Geneva that they might be more ‘tourist friendly’?

It was a long time ago. The store policy has changed and so have sadly the SA’s that I knew who were happy with me sharing their info.

For the others bags, they might be running low in stock as well. I know they had a shortage of kelly wallets which used to never happen. I think it’s worth trying and asking. I think the smaller city will have much less stock which means prioritize locals. Bigger cities are more used to tourists. Again, worth trying as you never know and they may have a bag that is not reserved by a local. It has happened in the past.

What about your home store? Or in Paris, if you establish a relationship with them there, I know they cater to tourists.

It’s actually very simple. The first time you’ll have to get an appointment online… use as many passports(husbands, child’s etc) as possible to increase your odds of getting the appointment. Once u do you’ll meet an SA for your appointment and afterword on your way out just ask for their email address and send them an email after meeting them saying it was lovely to meet you etc.. then the next time you can email them for an appointment.
There’s no online appointment in Switzerland. Not sure what is discussed here. Sounds like Paris system?

Does anyone know if the St Moritz store will be open on January 1? I know usually stores close because it's a holiday but was wondering if it's an exception since its peak ski season...

hi all! I just moved to Switzerland recently for school, and I am excited to start my Hermes journey here.. i would definitely like to work to get a Birkin 25! Since I live not too far away from Zurich, Geneve, and Lausanne any recommendation of Hermes stores that would be best to start my Hermes journey? Thank you

Hello! Looking to visit the Geneva store on the 5th and wanted to see/WhatsApp them and ask if they a few pieces of homeware. I am also looking for a pair of old season Orans. Can anyone help me ask? I am looking for H mosaique items, passifoli, h deco and cheval d’orient. Thanks

Yes. That’s what I was told: the wish list works and it’s better but only for locals. They do not entertain b/k or tourists anymore.
Hello there, is that for minimal spending or even tourists with say 1:1 spending? I assume they won’t offer me a B or K if I spend it in one go and ask for whatever combination they have right now? Thank you!
