Hello Swiss Ladies--

I was in Switzerland in May: Bern, Luzern and Zurich. I wish I would have found this thread before I went because you all seem so gracious and lovely. I was also in Munich, Salzburg and Prague during the same trip, so I visited lots of H boutiques. It was great fun seeing them all so close together because each boutique has a different personality, in my opinion. I picked up something from each place I visited, mostly silks and SLG. I was traveling with DH and I knew he wouldn't appreciate toting a big orange box through all the airports on the way home! But it's good to know the Swiss boutiques are in so many cities. You are really fortunate in that regard. And with Swiss rail, you can get from one city to another with relative ease.

Next time I go back to Switzerland I will check in here before my travels. My mother's name is Sarah, by the way, so I am especially drawn to your user name, Sarah_sarah. And to make the story even more interesting, I was born in Zurich, so even though I have a US passport, it still has Switzerland printed on it. ;)

Glad you enjoyed your time it is crazy how many boutiques they have in Swiss. What a cool story. [emoji259]

I would also recommend the Lausanne and Geneva ones too.

Next time you are around PM me. [emoji254]

I do not see a lot of pricing examples in CHF on the pricing thread. For US citizens that have shopped in Switzerland, how do the prices and tax benefits compare to France?

I purchased a gator CDC and B30 in St Moritz last summer. Pricing is better in France for bags but still good savings can be had in Switzerland (compared to US) assuming USD to CHF not too far off. HTH

Wow so lucky! I am going to St. Moritz tmr so just wonder if it's possible to score a B or K there. Are you are local frequent client or a tourist like me? Much appreciated your reply!

I have been told in one of the swiss boutqiues that for tourists resorts are the best option during the summer, I am a tourist as well so please do share if you were able to score either .. Best of luck!

Yes, I was a tourist! I was on the lookout for a croc CDC in a dark Bleu so when I committed to buying it, I asked about a B it K too. St M SM said they never get Ks but that they just received a B in the morning shipment and for me to come back in about and hour so they can unpack it. I did so and the rest is history.

Good Luck! It's a beautiful town with lots of great shops and spectacular scenery. We had lunch at the restaurant next door to H and it was excellent.

If you are taking the scenic train from Italy.... You are in for an incredible journey!

prices in Swiss (after 5% detax) is similar to France Euro list price without the detax. So it's still very good savings compared to US and lots of other countries.

Thanks! I took the Bernina Express from Lugano to Tirano and then St Mortitz.

The SM as well as the store manager are super super nice and showed me whatever they have in stock. Too bad they don't have B or K shipped (you are so lucky!) this morning and they won't have any shipments until next week.

I did buy a flamingo evercolor Lindy 26. Still worth the trip I guess.
