BlueGenes, I love how you think!! :)

Unfortunately, as much I would love to max out
my charge card and just 'go for it', I have to wait.
I have too many bills that I need to pay. And I'm not
looking forward to my upcoming student loans next year.

Hopefully, I will have a nice new career waiting for me
at the end of the school tunnel. ;)

and yes, I would love a Blue Jean (rigide) Bolide. :)
(with PH)

Are you graduating in December or May (09)? I totally sympathize with your sentiments...although for me it's more about the anxiousness of finding a job than student loans (made my way entirely with scholarships and parent's support).

What is your concentration? I'm finishing in Micro-Economics and I'm hoping it leads me somewhere good...:sweatdrop:

And I too sometimes think how nice it would be to slap down the plastic and take what I want (guilt gets the best of me).

re: Danish men - I was there (Copenhagen and Aalborg) in October of '06 and I was completely blown away at how attractive, well-groomed, and well-dressed the men were. Even in Aalborg, which is far from a cosmopolitan destination...

I loved Copenhagen though. Gorgeous, and full of good shopping. And everyone was super super nice.

I bet the weather there is lovely this time of year. I would love to go back! :p

I've gone to Aalborg twice this year. I must say it's really lovely. I think it's prettier than Copenhagen, although it's kinda small and there are no gay clubs. Not that I'm into clubbing but I would want to see my own kind reprezented in the clubbing scene.

I heard Aarhus is the prettiest, but I haven't been there.

Yes, Danish people are really polite.

srq, I graduate in October of this year. My student loan "fun" starts on April 1st. (No joke). I know I'm going to do my darndest to make sure I have a career, it's the loans that worry me.
I'd work in McDonald's if I had to.
I'm going to have an Associates in Early Childhood
Education. Today I went to my first pre-K graduation.
It was the kids from my 2nd field experience. I almost
cried. ;)

BlueGenes - Has your first package arrived yet? Can't wait to see it!! Hope you aren't going to make us wait until you have both packages.

BTW, really enjoy reading your blog and have added it to my bloglines account. Congrats on the upcoming nuptials!!

Eulalia - Know what you mean on wanting to see the world while still young. Calculated the $$$ spent on travel last years (leaving out my visits to see Mom and Dad 3 times) and figured I could have purchased a Birkin, a Kelly, a wallet and some smaller accessories. Asked DH if he thinks I can go a year without travelling. He looked over the top of his paper, did that Frenchman's eyebrow thing and went back to looking at his paper. So much for encouragement from my peeps.

chigirl - Wouldn't worry about not receiving a response. Hold onto the info and when you are ready contact her again. I'm sure she'll be happy to help you.

Kelly_Birkin - Don't you just love graduations for the little ones? Their excitement is so natural and so unchecked. Kinda gives me hope for the future.

allanrvj - Your comments on the cute Danish boys so reminds me of when I was young, thin, single (although I do love me some DH), and without a care in the world. Boy, were those the days....

As for moi, I have temporarily suspended my H purchases (except for the things my SA is looking into) until I can get into an H boutique later this summer or in the fall. Trying to do a winter and summer accessories rainbow and I think I just need to see the colors up close and personal. While the pics on the web are great, they can't substitute for the real thing. Thus far, I've spent a little fortune on shipping to return items or I've lost a few dollars on items that I did not like and sold to resellers. And as we all know, with H, every dollar counts.

valencia, Little kids are so adorable. One little girl who
was fine in the rehearsals, cried during her poem. She's
such a sweetie.
One boy wanted to say more than his poem, when he
got to the mic. ;)

Good luck with finding the accessories that you
want...as always, when it comes to Hermes, it has
to make your heart sing. :)

valencia, thanks for the compliment! i definitely won't wait for both packages to arrive, but this first one has gotten bogged down in customs  so i won't receive it until at least wednesday, i think. if so, it'll only have been a week since it was shipped, but it feels like forever! i can't wait to see your seasonal rainbows :graucho: they're just as yummy, or maybe yummier, to see as the bags themselves!

kelly_birkin, i'm not sure why i'm reminded of this, but during the final concert one semester for my music school (this was way back when i was in high school) every single class had to play a piece, starting from the youngest to the oldest. the youngest class only had one member, the 3-year-old son of my violin teacher, and after he played his piece (he played it very well, by the way) he sat down on the stage and waited for everyone else to play - just the way he was supposed to. then, halfway through the concert, he started picking his nose - right on center stage, in front of everyone, unabashedly, and he didn't stop until his mom finally scooped him off the stage ten minutes later. it should have been really gross but it was really cute at the time.

:crybaby: I'm just beyond irritated and upset. Thanks to the latest price increase (Fall, then again in January), I don't see my Birkin ever happening. I just can't pay $10k or more for a handbag!

Hey there RBB.. Don't fret --- I'm there with you!! Law school tuiton I'm sure will kill me come January, and I will need to switch gears and perhaps go second hand/ vintage from some of the fab resellers on TPF/ EBay. So much for developing an SA relationship in Las V.

But hey --- I know you will get your birkin eventually. Someone as sweet as you definitely deserves it!! As the saying goes....Good things come (in orange boxes) to those who wait. :p

Thanks for your words of encouragement, Valencia!! I may need to look into second hand / Ebay options since I will be paying law school tuition out of pocket soon......

BlueGenes, *LOL* What a cute kid story. He probably thought that was the most important thing to do at the time. :)

Sarah, I feel your pain. ((Hugs)). Even if I was a VVIP and had all of the money and connections in the world, I still have my big mouth, and would question - why all these price increases? Just because they can? Just so only the wealthy 2% can afford to buy H bags? If I was wealthy, I might still buy the bags I like, but I'd still be vocal over yet another price increase.

chigirl, I'm sure you'll get your dream bag as well. :)

I will be paying law school tuition out of pocket soon......

Out of pocket? YIKES! I don't know what I'd do without grants
and student loans. I wish you all the best. :)

I think we need a motto here:

All good H things come to those who wait. :)
