This is A kelly 28 sellier made of box leather with palladium HDW. I cannot really decide from the picture if it is black or dark brown though. Seems to be BALCK.... It is a beautiful bag , and perfectly proportionned to the lady's figure ....

Hi Everyone!I'm new here and only came across this site accidentally but as I got to know this page I fell in love with it and all of You here at the forum!!Before my Purse Forum life all I could think of was getting a Louis Vuitton bag or some kind of designer bag but now I'm totally addicted to Hermés bags!!!(I have a lot of non designer bags though and love all of them ). My mother shouts at me every time I try to talk to her about bags and this site as I'm supposed to be learning to get accepted to the university. I don't think I will ever be able to own a bag like this, EVER but I won't give up my dream and keep admiring Your bags!!

I LOVE a deep rich purple and I love a zip around wallet. Currently LV has a Cassis colored zippy wallet for $680. This seems like the best of all worlds to me, but I am wondering if I should hold out and save for a raisin azap instead, which would probably be $2K or more, if it is even available.
This one is a real dilemma.
Get the color you love now w/ pretty good quality or wait for a color you love and may not be able to get w/ superior quality.
What would you do?

No I don't really need a wallet at this time. I purchased a Longchamp wallet while in Paris in October and it still looks brand new. I guess I am thinking of the current availability in such a beautiful color and the price vs. the wisdom of saving for a much more expensive wallet. While folks love their azaps, I just am not sure about the $2K price tag.

valencia - I really think that a $2K wallet is too expensive. I have a amarante (dark purple) zippy which was $700 something ($800 after taxes) and I already thought that was too much. But in the end, I really like it and its super functional with tons of pockets and inner zip pocket. I also love the colour and size (can double as a small clutch during lunches when I'm out with my co-workers). For $2K I would want a bag, or stash it away in my momo birkin fund! (could already have one handle of the bag! HAHAHA)
But, I think in the end, if it makes you happy to have the azap, then you should go for it.

oh i forgot to ask, what is sellier? i know that box is a kind of leather that hermes uses together with others like togo, clemence, chevre and swift. is it a particular shape or size of the kelly?

Spinskybolt, I am new to H as well but from what I have gathered, a Kelly sellier has a more rigid shape and look, which is why they use stiffer leathers like box; it also has outward seams, which I've read are harder to make. Kelly retournes have a softer, more casual look to them and can be done in sloucher leathers, like swift; they, in turn, have inward seams.
That is all I can think of for now. I do hope others chime in, as I am still learning!:shame:

I am new to Hermes, as a tad bored of the Chanel styles coming out this year, just seen Eva Longria's Fuschia Croc Birkin, don't even know how much it would cost but guessing I will be saving into retirement!
