Is that scarf one of this season's issues? If it is I must check it out. This is L'esprit de la forêt by Alice Shirley.
I think translating a 90 to a larger format may tempt the artisan to tweak the end result a bit to produce something that is not simply a xerox copy of the original. Like going from books to movies.Thank you eagle! [emoji4] I will find out soon enough! Perhaps it is tricky to translate the detail of a 90 to the "large screen" or perhaps the 140s just have a different vibe. Regardless, I can't wait!! (Well, I have to but you know what I mean!!!! [emoji38])
I am blown away by your interpretation. What an intriguing inspiration for a scarf designed as a sort of labyrinth. And the minotaur reference. Wow, you really know your stuff. The last labyrinth I ever thought about is the snow labyrinth at the end of The Shining movie. And that was years ago.I think not medieval, but actually the Cretan Minotaur prancing on the sail of that Greek vessel. And, so fitting, as the fantastical cityscape could be described as a sort of labyrinth.
I know....just teasing! [emoji6][emoji8] I am definitely of the same persuasion.[emoji3]
They certainly did that with Parures de Samouraïs in the larger size. The tweaks were subtle but they were there.I think translating a 90 to a larger format may tempt the artisan to tweak the end result a bit to produce something that is not simply a xerox copy of the original. Simply beautiful, hannahsophia! My sieste cw 07 has arrived! I love the silk plume. It’s my first one. Normally I go for the winter 140cm silks, but it’s 64 degrees here in dec and this weight is perfect. I’m also loving the red ahead of Christmas! [emoji173]️[emoji173]️![]()

I'm interested in your opinion on this quality : I have just had a chance to touch it once and I found the fabric was very light, I'm afraid it could be quite fragile.I have to say I'm not keen on the Plumes but I absolutely love the cw of yours, congratulations
I have two and find them as robust as the normal twill and just as warm, tbh. For that volume of silk I like the light weight.I'm interested in your opinion on this quality : I have just had a chance to touch it once and I found the fabric was very light, I'm afraid it could be quite fragile.

I have both summer and winter 140s and a dipdye 140, and I prefer a bit more weight. The plumes also have a surface slipperiness that I don't like. Good thing we don't all like the same things!!I'm interested in your opinion on this quality : I have just had a chance to touch it once and I found the fabric was very light, I'm afraid it could be quite fragile.
Thank you for sharing your opinion! This is definitely something I will have to try. I have a silk twill 140 and I do need to practice to keep it in place when I wear it !I have both summer and winter 140s and a dipdye 140, and I prefer a bit more weight.
