Oh, this is just TDF!!! Congrats on having scored this beautiful cw already. It looks great on you.My sieste cw 07 has arrived! I love the silk plume. It’s my first one. Normally I go for the winter 140cm silks, but it’s 64 degrees here in dec and this weight is perfect. I’m also loving the red ahead of Christmas! [emoji173]️[emoji173]️![]()

Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh. My Sieste arrives tomorrow. I am almost hyperventilating here. Should I be naughty and take a peek or be nice and hand it straight over to DH to hide until Christmas Day? Oh the anguish! [emoji23][emoji23]
I pondered the color similarity between "From the sea to the sky" (De la mer au ciel) scarf and the butterfly scarf. To me, the similarity suggested a linkage between the two so that the butterfly scarf could be named "From the sky to the earth" (I don't know what its precise name is). The small picture I saw of the butterfly scarf suggests to me the butterfly is high in the sky looking down at the ground (earth).
It's possible that two scarves express the linkages between sea, sky and earth. (A reason to buy both!).
I couldn't figure out from the small pix of the butterfly scarf what the brown and green of the earth represented. Was it trees? At first it looked like a cliff, then a fence. I clearly need a larger version of this scarf to study.
I am glad @HoneyLocks that you pointed out the color similarity.
I've opted for the lavender/bougainvillea one. It reminds me of a little lake I visited earlier this year with my family, called the Fairy Lochan, where the water is emerald green from the fairies washing their clothes in it (apparently!).View attachment 4282203View attachment 4282219

OMG was that in the US website? Were there a few CWs available? I am eyeing a few. Loving the jacquard and the format!View attachment 4282425
Aaand it's gone!
you snooze, you lose.
I already had put in in the bin, but reconsidered (I am not really keen on horse heads, the original BW CW had much more shades).
Next day I still wanted it, after all it is Phoenix, a true black (or so blue it is almost white) and white, a 70...
Are these as soft as the vintage silks?
Oh no! I didn’t know this was already on the site! Darn! Good to know they are on the site so soon!!View attachment 4282425

I am too ill this morning for a full set of modelling pics, but I can give you a few quick first photos of my A L’Ombre des Pivoines that has literally just arrived. Colourway 14, bleu glacier, rose. I am thrilled with it as it is so beautiful and nothing like anything else in my small collection and will look great with greys. Oh, and the colours of the scarf are much richer and deeper than those in the website image (as usual). Can anyone tell me if there will be a design story for this scarf? It is not on the website and I like to have these when I write my scarf profile posts for my blog.

Thank you, @HoneyLocks. If the two cw's are as similar as they look in small pictures, it might be cool to tie each together at the nape of your neck then let each flow across your shoulders to produce a dramatic drape. An H manager demo'd this technique years ago. This technique might be quite useful and fun for flying thru the elements!thank you tor these thoughts, this really speaks to me!
I can imagine wearing them together and dreaming of flying through the elements![]()
