Yes, you can ship to H spa but be aware that there has been incidents where bags were "never received". I would personally hand it over on my next trip to a H boutique and get a recipt. I spoke with Claude a couple of wks ago and he said that people come from around the world just to drop off their bags in person these days. That's why there is currently a 2 month turnover time at madison.

What?! That is scary. Wouldn't you have a tracking number???? I hope whomever this happened to had insurance at the very least.

There has definitely been a price hike even for the simplest cleaning/reconditioning at the NYC Madison Ave. store. I had a box Jige cleaned/reconditioned two years ago for around $110 plus tax, but when I left my Etrivière briefcase (fjord and vache hunter) with Claude this past February, I was quoted $225 plus tax. $225 seems to be the basic price for cleaning/reconditioning the simplest bags (if not for all bags), since I was quoted the same when I brought a vintage barenia Evelyne last month.

The turnaround time was quicker than I had expected. Claude said 12 weeks when I dropped of the briefcase, but it actually took about 7.

Hello all-

I have recently come across a vintage Evelyne that needs some TLC (cleaning, some stitching on the closure strap and I am hoping they can help verify which letter is inside the circle stamp for dating purposes). I am planning a trip to NYC and would love to drop it off for a spa treatment. Do you recommend dropping in or are appointments required?

Thanks!!!

When my H leather items need an H spa, I just simply drop them off at H store in Beverly Hills; I never make any appointment. But I don't know about stores in NY though.

You can call ahead to see what days Claude is there.. (sometimes he switches
his day off) & there is really no need for an appointment

He is downstairs in the Madison Avenue location... but any SA will
take in the bag & give you a receipt, should be not be there for some reason

I paid $300 just for reconditioning of an Ostrich Kelly last July. My previous spa reconditioning treatment in 2011 was only $200. Prices have definitely gone up and there is no standard price chart. Seems like it all depends on the craftsman. Must be a lucrative part of the H business.

Spa treatments & replacements of handles, etc are a big business at Hermes...

Everything for the most part there is hand labor, so its costly.
