I just got a pre-loved orange Picotin 18 that was a little dingy and had more corner rubbing than I had anticipated. I see what some have been quoted/paid to clean and refresh your bags, but they were Birkin and Kellys, much bigger and more detailed than my bag. Would they charge the same for mine? Or would they charge less because it would be easier to do? No stains or scratches, just dingy (esp on the handles) and corner rubbing.
I would expect less. The store can give you a quote for cleaning.

Hi Hi, do you guys know how much to send to H Spa my Garden Party 36 in Toile? As there are some stains due to rugged use haha. I know people on some other threads used Mr Clean Magic Eraser, i havent tried it yet but im leaning more to H Spa..

Thank you!

Has anyone had experience replacing wallet hardware? The H on my Constance wallet is super scratched and one of the vertical pieces is a bit wobbly. I don’t have an H store locally, so I’m planning on bringing it with me on my next trip to LA to drop it off. 92AA1C3C-EC78-4D7B-8D17-4580EA70CA86.jpeg

I took a Kelly wallet in once to be cleaned and they replaced the hardware gratis because they thought the turnlock was wobbly. Constance HW is more complex though, but I would think it's a relatively easy replacement (although not free for scratches).

Awesome, thank you! Maybe I can work my way into some hardware since it is wobbly, if not I’ll just be happy paying to make it new again :)

Very delayed, but I called Madison recently about bag cleaning price and they told me $315, I believe. And 4-8 weeks.

My Birkin lost a foot - really.
It costed around 400 Euros to replace it, so I'd ask if I was you, I overheard ages ago that changing of the hardware can be up to 800 Euros, but please don't trust that information!

Sharing my experience:

I have had three bags dropped off at Hermes SF: a Kelly 32 Box, a Drag 27 Box, and a Kelly Sport GM Gulliver leather in Alezan.

The first two bags were both repaired in store, and I was quoted $315 each for basic cleaning/repair. I didn't really notice a huge improvement honestly because I still see visible scratches that were there before. The leather is a bit shiner, maybe it's all psychological who knows. So I'd say for the very basic service $315 quote you probably won't see a big difference. But I still recommend bringing in the bag to Hermes spa if said bag is purchased secondhand/vintage. It is just an extra layer of safety to bring peace of mind in terms of authenticity.

As for my Kelly Sport, she was in a worse condition compared to the previous two and got sent to Paris for repair instead. Needless to say it was a very very long wait (about 3 months) until I heard back about the quote. I was quoted $430 for side strap replacement and $800 for shoulder strap replacement. Cleaning is free this time, but no guarantee of restoring to original condition. I anticipate another few months at least before the bag gets shipped back to the US, but hopefully I will be able to notice some difference this time..

I bought a GP 36 from RealReal and they misrepresented the condition (as is their MO). It was listed in very good condition with only a minor mark in the interior. There was pigment loss I noticed right off the bat and then on closer inspection and at the store with the SA we found a couple of other issues like corner and edge wear/rubbing. I got a quote of $315 for the exterior repair, to be done in NY (I'm in NJ). RealReal said they would refund me the cost of repair so I decided to keep the bag and let Hermes repair. I was a little worried about how well it would really repair, but I got the bag back three weeks later and it looks brand new. My Evelyne is another story. Bought brand new from the store, it had to go back a few weeks later because the loop kept unclipping. It was sent out to New York in early April and they then sent it to Paris in May for hardware replacement. It's not due back until the end of September. Maybe. I don't think that's a fair wait time for a brand new bag to be fixed, but what can you do.
