I'm incredibly curious about this scarf I bought from an estate sale. I've looked all over the internet for the artist and the year it was made but couldn't find anything. I heard there were some really dedicated Hermes fans here and I hope someone can help. Thank you so much in advance!

The design is Entente Cordiale. I've always been intrigued by it, but don't have one myself. Such great details. It pops up now and then on the secondary market. Loic Dubigeon, 1994.

Hello! I recently purchased this orange Brazil Maxi Twilly and am wondering from which season it is and what colorway it is. From my research I suspect it is part of the second issue of the Brazil MT (Spring 2026, perhaps?) but I cannot find any information on it! I love it because it is more muted than the first issue of orange/gris/ebene Brazil MT and I am surprised that it evidently was/is not very popular!

Is anyone able to kindly identify this maxi twilly?

Thank you in advance for your help, effort, and time!!! Xx

Are you sure you have the date correct? :sunnies:

A saga of maxi twillies
Found some maxi twillies for sale - excellent education opportunity - photos from ha.com. Have not spent time to figure out if these are authentic - another subject ...

1 1000.jpg2 1000.jpg

Lesson 1 - Maxi twillies came/come in a bunch of WIDELY DIFFERENT sizes. It is a pain to measure the length of a MT - some are 2 meters long, but the size difference is huge when you wear it
It is obvious when 2 sizes are side by side, but impossible to tell if just one is in the shot
There are more than 2 sizes of MT ... not illustrated

Nice photos - the MTs are hardly folded over, see next post - you basically see the full length - both sides - GOOD

Lesson 2 - MTs sometime have different patterns on either side - see above left

Lesson 3 - MTs sometime have IDENTICAL front and back - see above right - the big orange MT is actually shown on both sides, although it looks like someone forgot to flip it for the second photo

Lesson 4 - caretags are rarely shown, cant find find one the left, very tiny on the right

Lesson 5 - no titles or signatures, almost always, no visible hems to scrutinize

To be continued ...

Maxi twillies, photo from H.com, the real deal ... a diff cw for sure - USELESS PHOTO - Ok but it is the H web site and they can do what they want ...
H091793S-10 ORANGE GRIS EBENE.jpg

Lesson 6 - this one is all FOLDED - you cannot see the feathers hanging from beads like in the previous 2 shots.
You have no clue as to size when folded and cannot see the whole design or see if the 2 sides are the same

Lesson 7 - you cant tell from the photo, but MTs seem to all be digitally printed, a bit blurry IMHO - dont bother trying to compare the design detail to that in a screened 90cm - apples and oranges

Thank you for this informative post. When H produces a new format it seems that there are many changes as the market for buyers changes? Or perhaps production considerations? Always interesting to see the development of the MT over the years. Thank you!:flowers:

In one sense it is good, they respond to perceived consumer likes, on the other hand, in they make it very difficult for the resale market - probably deliberately

Yes, it does seem keeping track of the evolution is almost impossible unless you were tracking each design every season. I guess that is one bright side to avoiding fakes. I only own the original length, but I like the idea and many designs surprisingly adapted well to the format.:flowers:

Twillies seem to have stayed the same size, but not MTs, Yes H uses diff names MT Cut, MT, MT Slim etc but those names evaporate once you get to the resale market
And honestly, MTs are too long to really measure, but, I am fussy, I like certain sizes not others
You can be very disappointed when you get it, even if authentic, because it is grossly too big, too small for you , sighhhhh
A buyer beware moment, yes a seller should disclose in the best of all worlds , but sometime they dont know

PS a friend recently bought an MT and I cautioned her before hand - make sure it is the size you want - I was not blunt enough and maybe could have said - you will swim in that ginormous MT - I was being nice, she HAD TO HAVE it , she was disappointed, could not return since seller had disclosed the size, lesson learned about MUST HAVE HS
