There is wool/silk. I have seen this in men's scarves. Disc Jockey (currently on the us h website) is one example.
Scarf in wool and silk (70% wool, 30% silk)Made in France
www.hermes.com
Off the top of my head, for scarves in about the last 10 years there are different fibre types (cotton , silk etc) and blend types (ratio of one ingredient to another, those are shown on the care tag, but also weave types - which you can guess at when holding the scarf - not tag,
Various weaves of 100 % silk - twill, summer twill, modern vintage silk, jacquards, mousse etc etc
Theee sometimes are NPOT made in France - big clue.
I will bet bet you a steak dinner that the double sided silk scarves are done in a special fabric weave - it needs to have different absorption of the dyes and is printed different
CS/silk : womens has been done in diff weights 63/35, 70/30 - you can tell the blend from the tag
The fibres were changed about 10 years and people reported pilling, the tags said 65/35 before and after the change
There is also the CS blend made in NEPAL - CS light weight, says made in NEPAL
Cotton has been done in various weights and weaves for womens - tag says 100% cotton, but they feel radically different, some is like cheese cloth (rough), some is stiff stuff with an almost silky sheen to the cotton
Cotton/silk various blends for bandana scarves - ladies, but also done in mens collection, the tag would tell you the blend
Wool/silk blend seems to be only in mens collections, I dont remember the ratio
Wool only is available - mostly in mens, mufflers, sometimes made in Scotland
Lame has been done
Just a start of the list really ...
