I’ve never seen this zavbruska you have but is it bright?

I “visit” this one frequently on eBay. I wonder about the mint green. Seems so strange ( for me:P ) on such a lovely neutral. I suspect that it is fabulous IRL

Gris / Jaune / Ardoise :flowers:

Many apologies for butting into your conversation back to lurking!:ty:
My ZAVA is in Chartreuse (Acid green) / Acajou (warm reddish mahogony) / Gris Perle (gray)
Is it bright ? Yes and no, the steely cold acid green contrasts with the warm red brown - soi, it is really like the Yellow / Gray SAMOURAIS - a study in opposites
I am really into that kind of color combo - I wer a lot of scarves barely peaking out from under my coat so the tiny punch of the acid green is awesome on a dull winter day

As to the neutral colored VACHERON, I have one and it is TDF - it is a cocktail of blush pastels, almost neutrals - not unlike to the B&W scarves shown by Moma
It is a great design IMHO since the corners are pink along one bias, and beige along the other - you dont have to be an expert folder to get it to look different - a bias fold will do
That is another type of design I seek out - 2 different looks along the 2 biases and also a complicated design with a lot going on - not just lines, there are cruitters, horses a whole cornucopia
The green barely shows ...
And yes my photos are crummy, they dont do justice but it is MY scarf
To me, this is the best cw in the design - the blush neutrals - and it was a top notch design appreciated by the pros, not just by beginners

A couple of color notes from other sources:

this one incorporates the mint green in the ferns and the waterfall. Although it is much more cream/tan and light rust, to my mind what makes it all work is that minty color.

and then there is this, with the perfect pink-green set off by warm grey and rusty brown...

That’s just too beautiful!! :faint:That is the difference the subtle colours in each one, the ones today I can’t see having that type of detail....

Very cool! Thanks for sharing:flowers:

Looking at the Rythmes du Monde again, this is what I love about some Hermès-the depth of color in unexpected places:

Thank you for pointing this out. I must go back to the listing and see if I can make out these nuances. :flowers:

A fascinating use of color - I am sending you to the H web site to see their LARGE photos
QUADRI PLUMETIS EMBROIDERED in vert sapin / bleu roy / bleu noir - Product reference: H592859S 49

Note the last color is not NOIR but BLEU NOIR - bluish black - BLHC
The first color is VERT SAPIN - spruce - TLHC
The last is BLEU ROY - French blue as inn French flag - TRHC of silk

The overall impression to me - looking at the medium thumbnails is of a scarf in white, cobalt, gray and another gray - kind of diswatery. I f I were a color expert then I would use the correct terminology of hue / intensity or whatever, but dishwatery expresses what I see
The bleu roy IS DULL, DULLER than the French flag - a conscious choice of H

Expand the thumbnails and the scarf and the green suddenly shows and contrast with the blue and blue black. These are kinda, sorta the colors of the famous dark green MYTHIQUES PHOENIX of legend but the impression is totally different, partially due to teh MP feathery design

Anyway, fascinating how the same colors come off totally different and esp. up close (lg pix) versus at a distance (sml thumbnails)

Interesting, that when you do a google search on just the color name, one gets all sorts of images...probably why Pantone has become such a useful standard.
Here is "bleu noir":

Vert sapin:

and Bleu Roi:

Of course it is so dependent on texture (another reason for Pantone coated and uncoated...
and probably why we like the "changeant" scarves so much.
For comparison, here is the blackest black known to man, Vantablack. Do a search on it for lots of interesting information. Astonishingly, this picture shows a statue as we see it and another version coated with Vantablack:
and, yes that is a REAL picture.

Agree the mint makes the beiges work
And the pink facade house ... typical of northern European latitudes eg Finland or Saint Petersburg - Easter egg colors and white for buildings, even the palaces are in color - not like Versailles which is basically beige (stone color) plus some gold
I have always wondered if the pastel + white color scheme is due to the northern latitudes - blinding light 24/7 in summer, and only 5 hrs of light in the winter but Northern lights
