I was just in the SotD thread and saw this wonderful scarf. The colour combos really were amazing to me. Also on a closer look I see shading details within the colours. Felt it needed to be in this thread!

While browsing ebay I found this scarf. Now I have read about Matte Blanc but is there such a thing as Matte Noir on black? Would love to know more about how the overlay colours are used. If anyone knows, I would love to hear all about it!!

On the subject of matte non-transparent inks ...So nice to “see” you @Jahna!
H has recently been using dull matte metallic (silver) inks for the signature and/or copyright. Probably to make them show up on a wider variety of cws. The black CPs used to disappear on dark cws. The new ink is not super shiny but distinctly silver - not gray.
The overall impression is a lot different from the 1980s - 1990s metallic inks which were quite bright
