My FSH SA told me they are having an installation at the end of June showcasing the pieces, which will also be for sale.Is this in every store?
I am only aware of the dates at the stores where I shop (London and Paris), at the end of June, as my SAs are trying to coordinate my slot with my appointment. No news regarding Asian dates at the moment. Is this in every store?
How much was the jumpsuit if you don’t mind me asking. Its super cute on you.I don’t have great pics but this the tuxedo jacket and embroidered jumpsuit when I tried it on. Both the jacket and jumpsuit are being tailored and there are pins in the pants lol. (They were very long on me!) The sweater is the SS25 wrap cardigan, which I also got.

Thanks! it was 12k Euros. 😬 😬 I already knew the price going in because my SA had set it aside for me and I was totally planning on turning it down. However, when I tried it on, I really loved the drape and movement of the pants and both the tailor and my SA loved it, and even a random customer complimented how it looked... so I couldn't turn it down. I thought it would be purely a dressy outfit, but when I tried on the cardigan by chance, I thought it looked cute that way as well so I convinced myself I would be able to wear it out to dinner too.How much was the jumpsuit if you don’t mind me asking. Its super cute on you.
Not sure if you are referring to my post, but if you are, thank you! And no, the sizing was ALL over the place! The cardigan was my regular H size 36. The jumpsuit top runs REALLY small so I took one size up. It has an internal layer with a zipper and an external layer with hooks and I could not even zip up the 36! (and I am not well-endowed in that dept!)It all looks amazing on you! Were they all true to size for you in terms of H sizing?
Yes I can see this - very well said. I first showed my husband the H, he liked it, but then when he saw the RL he was like RL hands down. Said it suited me much more, the H will need much more “work” and a vision.I actually have both blazers, and I have to say—the H one feels a bit more special, especially because of the lapel. I sized up and have only worn it for evening looks so far—it’s perfect for that. The RL I got in black cashmere, and I really love the cut—it’s super easy to wear and works beautifully from day to night
I agree, in no rush, especially for the aforementioned reason. I will attach the Schiaparelli here (hopefully not going off topic)- I tried on a few. They’re beautiful! Very different esthetic compared to the H and RL.Honestly, if you are at all unsure, I would wait bc Hermes does a version of a classic jacket in either their RTW or equestrian lines every year.
Also, i would love to see action pics of the Schiaparelli and price and fit comparisons to the H jacket if you have any
I think if it’s not an immediate yes, it’s probably a no. Unless you are up at night thinking about it hahamight still get it if my heart overrules my head, but that might be another factor to consider.
Yes, I think you’re probably right. My husband generally said this, too which I think is why he leaned towards the RL and actually loved it at first sight. I love that they’re both wool and not some poly blend. Basically said I’ll wear the H 3 times and the RL all the timeYou mentioned that this would be one of your first classic black/ navy jackets. I would suggest, if you are uncomfortable wearing this style unless dressy, that a tuxedo style would make a great third or fourth jacket. IMO only
This is very cute! Is that current season? I actually just purchased a very similar Max Mara jacket in white similar vibe (I’ll attach here to this post). It’s from current season so it’s likely sold out most sizes at this point, thoughJust tried on the 34 which is a perfect but slim fit, so got the 36 for room to layer in winter
Love this! Does anyone around 5’ have modshots? I love the design but am not sure if it would be too overwhelming on my frame since it’s already designed to be oversizedthis cardigan is back !!!

Thanks for showing us your other possibilities! Given everything you’ve shared, I think your DH (and @SilkCouture ) are right re the RL as being more flexible and easier to wear But, I also think it makes a lot of sense to wait on this decision! That said I’m currently expecting and I my body shape is changing by the day so I think I need to come to my senses and table this for another year. I assume the RL is always around.
It’s not the right time.. I am a bit bummed but there will always be cute designs!

First 5 pics are Schiaparelli (I assumed they’ll be pretty obvious) the first most basic one I think was 7k, the beaded embellished was almost 10k and the others ranged in between these price points. Of course the beaded one is amaaazing. The lapel is a little softer in me compared to Hermes and I think may be better fit for me, personally. I think that’s what is making me question it. I just worry it’s too large proportionally on me since I’m quite petite - competing with the size of my head if that even makes sense!
I suppose at these prices I shouldn’t be second questioning anything.
ETA in terms of the fit I think it’s more snug, 34 was super cute and is size for the embellished jacket photo if I recall but I need 36 if I want to wear any layers over it. I tried both sizes. I have broad shoulders (relative for my petiteness) which is the main area that gets tight on me in the 34’s and I assume the Hermes would fit me better in the body but I may have the shoulder issue. Unfortunately only had the 36 to try. It doesn’t bell out as much as the H one, tbh I think the Schiaparelli fits me nicer.

My SA couldn’t get me in for a followup visit this week, anyway, and not sure I have time this week before traveling. And by late June (we have a June 25 appt penciled) I anticipate I won’t be fitting into my clothes anymore if all continues as anticipated. So I think I will have to let this ship sale. Would love to hear thoughts on some of the other blazers in comparison though! If I had time I would love to revisit the H one too but I also don’t want to waste my SA’s time
Prior to the tariffs, this jumpsuit sold for $15,800 or 900 at Beverly Hills. It is now listed for $16,200.How much was the jumpsuit if you don’t mind me asking. Its super cute on you.

DH persuaded me to revisit the H tuxedo jacket when I went to pick up my men’s pants (I’m a Hermes size 38 men’s pants (relaxed, looser fit); 36-38 women’s pants) .
Everyone loved the smoking jacket on me after the tailor fully pinned the length so I purchased. (My SA said the gorge could not be higher due to the female chest lol). I do think it looks amazing in the original length on others; I just have a complete mental block and a hard time styling long jackets on me.
*ETA: I bought this smoking jacket specifically to wear with jeans and a tank top. IMO if one is contemplating this particular purchase, this one fills a special niche, not an all purpose one, in one’s dark jacket wardrobe.
If one does decide to discuss shortening this jacket with a tailor, they weigh certain factors as they relate to your individual body 1. Keeping the line and style intact; not hindering the pocket; and, what to do with the back center vent. So alteration depends on individual case by case. The men’s pants also required slimming down the leg and butt and shortening the length.

I love the juxtaposition of the jacket with the more casual utilitarian pants!! Was there a charge for the pants alteration since it was more than shortening the length? Thanks for showing us your other possibilities!
