Thanks and yes, tried with a few pairs of thick wool socks and still have tons of heel slip. I can stand on my tip toes in the boots while the boot remains flat on the ground - does that make sense? My heels should be able to lift that high w/in the boot, right? Would love to know if anybody else has this happen to them! TIA!

Wow..that is a lot of heel slip!! They sound too large.
Since they are riding boots, you are supposed to have some slip but that sounds like a lot.
Initially , I had a hard time deciding which size boots to purchase. I was reluctant to buy the ones with less slip for fear the toe box would be too tight...went with the larger pair (my true size). They do seem to stretch a lot, so the smaller pair would have probably been fine.

Hi... can someone who have size 39 let me know the messaurement of the calf length on the boots?

cuz i actually have a fat calf... and i will feel REALLY embrasse if i go into the shop and try and couldnt fit > <
so if someone can lt me know in advance the rough estimation, i can know whether or not to try it in the store...

thanks for the info.

Do not feel worried about feeling this way.....
These boots are rather difficult to get on/take off and the SA's are used to this.
Each pair is slightly different so you really do need to just go in there and try the boots on. I tried mine on about 4 times before I could make my decision....BTW- I do not have fat calves bit did find the boots a bit snug at the top (knees).....they will stretch, though.
Just don't get them too big or you will have too much heel slip.

I would say the circumference is less than 14". Just my personal experience.:flowers:

she has so much room in the shaft of the boot .. lovely action pic!

akiwa: if you are looking for the box leather, it will be a tighter fight, can try out the newer swift leather
unfortunately, you must try it on for size, some owners went up a 1/2 size for the comfort level. GL!

Thanks Texasgirliegirl and Julide..

i went and tried the other day.... couldnt fit :crybaby:

the SA was nice enough to comfront me that .... a lot of pple has the same problem

There is another boot that works well for larger calves. I forget what its called but it comes in black and has a long zipper up the outside and a tiny bit more heel than the Jumping boot.
