Maybe this "batch" of jumping boots sizes differently that prior seasons because I also had to go down a half size and I always wear a true 37 in H shoes. Strange, isn't it? I think mine were $2200 - $2300 USD?

To give you a sense of how etoupe looks in these boots, compare the color to the ombre bracelets. Also, the Kelly Dog on top is etain. I compared it to my etoupe Toolbox and it is slightly different in tone.

It may be the individual boots, but I just bought a pair of the etoupe boots a few weeks ago, and they were true to size exactly for me. Fit perfectly. But these boots are made by hand, so perhaps I was just lucky. My last pairs, oldest over 10 years and another pair about 4 years ago all fit in my normal US size. Go figure. Love these boots.

I love those jumping boots and might consider saving up for a pair.

BUT: I have issues with most boots as I'm only 5' short - the shaft comes up too high. Now I read the measurements of those Hermès boots and they might be a tad too tall for me as well (shaft width should be all right, but this also often looks weird when the boot is too tall/ too wide just on top, kinda like I'm wearing funnels on my legs :weird:).

Can these be shortened? Does anyone my height own a pair and can give feedback?

Also, size 36 (EU) can be tricky (read: too big) for my admittedly really small feet - does anyone know how this size runs?

I think you really need to try them on to be sure if it comes up too high. It's the length of the lower part of the leg that is key here. I am just over 5-2 and size 37 is totally fine for me. I have long-ish legs but much of the length is in the upper part of the leg. I read on tpf that Hermes makes a version of these boots slightly shorter for the Japanese market. This might work for you. But then again even the regular style might work if you try them on.
I have not heard of cutting off the top of the boot. Since there is a loop to thread the strap through, that would have to be moved down, too.

they run tts, but they cant be shorterned. i am 5 5 and it's bit too tall for me. but i love the style so just have to deal w/ it when sitting, walking is fine for me.

I really love the look of the H boots! Are they easy to put on/take off without someone's help?
Hahaha~no they are not. But they are so worth it. However I do not recommend wearing them when you have to go through security at the airport. No way to get these on and off quickly. I had a very embarrassing moment when Homeland Security had to bring me a chair and someone had to help me off with them.

For taking off, use a bootjack. It makes it much easier. You can order one online for very little (something like $10 if I recall correctly). There is a picture of it somewhere on this forum too.

Thank you for your tips Ladies! I will just have to get used to performing some acrobatics, as I really want them :smile1:
TT - I totally understand what you mean! I usually wear ballerinas when travelling for this very reason! Don't you just LOVE TSA...

Ask your SA to find a pair made for the Asian market. Sometimes the Hawaii stores carry them.
The shaft is shorter.
I am 5'1" myself and have the regular boots but they hit my knees and have started to slouch. I honestly prefer my Frye back zip riding boots....they fit better and even look more expensive.

I think my Jumpings are the Japanese cut as it is TTS, does not hit my knees ( am 5'2) but are too wide at my calves. As a result it is easy for me to walk in and put on/ take off. I am looking for another pair in a different colour! :graucho:

Where did you find yours?
I would be interested in trying on a pair of the japanese cut boots.
Mine are fitted (but not too tight in the calves) but are tighter in the knees....weird.
I wish they stood perfectly straight but they are begining to slouch. I was told that this is their nature but one slouches more than the other. My OCD reveal...LOL.
