Hello
!
Am looking into a togo birkin second hand and it is missing clochette and key set.

Any one ordered this before and can advise ?

Any advise on how long it takes ? Thanks
not quite the answer, but does it really matter? will you use them?
a lot of people don't for two reasons
1] they never fasten their bags, just tuck the flap in the back - so lock is not necessary
2) they want to avoid the 'smiley' arc caused by the rubbing on the front

nonetheless it is good to feel the bag is complete
I admit I do not use mine, but it is good to know they are safely in their boxes
most Hermes replacements take months rather than weeks

In a way that I feel complete with full set !

Do you have experience with ordering replacements could you please tell me how long it took ? Thanks

I have only read of other's experiences on here.
Like all things Hermes, it's best to expect to have to be patient.

I have a question about Hermes leathers that are easily repaired at their Spa. I heard that Box is one of them. Also, I read that Epsom is somewhat hard to refurbish. Please, share your knowledge and experience! Particularly, I'm curious about Barenia (smooth), Barenia Faubourg, and Evercolor. Any info is much appreciated:heart:

There are lots of posts on this thread which give the details you ask for.

Has anyone in Canada sent a bag to the H spa that they bought abroad? I was told I couldn’t send a bag bought at a US boutique to the spa because I had brought it to Canada many years ago (even though the purchase history in NYC can be confirmed), and they can’t prove I paid duties on it. I would have to fly back to NYC to send the bag out from there?

One of the bags is an exotic which is why I rather send from Canada instead of risk travelling in/out with it or needing a new CITES.
Did you ever get a response on this or end up being able to send it to a spa in Canada?

Hm, this is a strange experience. I am a loyal client at my local H, and I've had a few QBs and other great offerings. I have a 15 year old B35 I wanted sent to spa, and I asked my SA about it, but I was direct in saying I got it way back from a reseller. My SA asked her manager, and they said they can't service it. They didn't even look at the bag, just declined to submit a spa request. I'm not the type to ask further, it was a question I asked while I was in boutique buying other things. But this is just strange. Previous states I lived in, over almost 2 decades of shopping at H, sending anything to spa had no question or concerns. Is this something of a new policy? Should I have just lied and said it was passed down from my mom? I will go back and press further, bringing the bag in as well. Just seemed strange?

I sent in 2 bags that I got from eBay and Vestiaire, in 2021. No one asked where/when I bought it and had zero issues.

Unless they changed something they will service all authentic H bags, regardless of where you bought it. But I wouldn't tell them I got them from resale to avoid situations like this.

Something else that could be up: are you 100% sure the bags is authentic?

Back in the day, taking a second-hand bag for spa used to be a way of getting it authenticated, because it would be rejected and returned if fake. But Hermes got wise to that ploy. If a bag is sent for spa and deemed to be fake, it is retained. I think the legal position behind that is that if a bag is sent to France and then known to be fake, it would be illegal for it to be exported.
Perhaps there was something in the way you presented your request that gave the impression that you wanted to present it as an authentication ploy.

Same. I've never heard of Hermes not accepting any authentic bag for spa/service. In essence, you are their loyal client, so why would they make an exception? Especially since the exact location you acquired it should be of no one else's concern. Something must have alerted them or maybe that particular store approaches spa treatments differently.

I believe this refusal has happened in parts of Asia (where TPFers have reported refusal of bags not purchased at the location) and oddly in Florida. If I recall correctly, the person in Fl received confirmation from NY or another state that the refusal should not have happened and to advise the site manager of her erroneous position. Will add a link if I find the thread. I’m sorry this happened to you. Note: in NY I have been in the process of having hardware replaced on kelly bags that were Covid deals. None of my bags have ever been questioned, and none have ever been refused service.

I use both Hermes Spa and @docride for spa. There have been times that Hermes Spa has worked wonders; other times when I’ve scratched my head and debated asking whether they simply forgot to treat my bag lol; and they don’t always do interiors or color correction (sun tanned panels, ink stains, darkened handles or other). I believe members also use other third party professional services.
