Help!

My Lindy Touch has lost one of the zipper top stops. I notice the Lindy’s use the RiRi zippers. My questions are: is this a simple enough repair that I can do myself (literally clamping on a teeny piece of metal), and are these zippers made custom in actually palladium plating like the rest of the hardware or is this just the regular RiRi silver color that they have available?

I’m having a hard time rationalizing sending out my bag just for this 2 second fix. Has anyone had this happen or repaired a zipper in this way?

Thank you!!!

Was your zipper REALLY hard to pull back once it was fully zipped closed past the stoppers?

I'm having an issue where my zipper gets stuck when fully zipped closed.

I practically have to yank the bag by both sides to get the zipper past the stoppers, and I'm worried this same thing is eventually going to happen, so I was going to make an appointment with my aftercare associate to see if they have any easy solutions. I will let you know what I find out!

Honestly it was always smooth like butter no isssues at all. In fact, the only reason I noticed this was missing is because it was suddenly stuck once zipped. So I carefully managed to unzip and noticed the one piece missing.

I wish mine was smooth! I just came back from Hermes today, they said they would have to replace the entire zipper on my bag. I was hoping it could be a quick fix in the boutique, but for my issue it needs to go to Paris. They took some photos to get back to me with an estimate, I'm not sure I want to part with the bag for 6 months just yet since it's a great summer travel bag.

The other issue is I got this bag preloved, and it's an employee sale bag. The employee ID number is stamped inside the bag under the Hermes hot stamp.

Does anyone know if Hermes works on these bags if you aren't the employee that purchased it?

They didn't look at the inside of my bag, I think due to not wanting to be liable breaking the zipper in front me of, so they didn't catch the employee stamp.

I'm considering purchasing a VERY worn K35 in raisin. The structure of the bag looks ok, but it has faded significantly and there are deep corner scuffs. I know the spa can do color restoration, but I'm unaware of what to expect. Would they be able to get this one back to somewhere near the original color? Can they address scuff this deep?
Yes they can recolor a bag as long as the hardware is in decent condition. I sent a bag in for “colorization” but they could not do it because the hardware was peeling. (It is from 1974.)

Sorry to say...I would not buy this bag unless it's incredibly inexpensive. There's uneven fading and major color loss. The depth of the Raisin color is pretty much gone (looks like it's been left in exposed sun for a long time, unless it's not actually Raisin). You can find this bag in better shape while K35 remains a less manically popular size :flowers:

Only my 2nd time using my Constance & quite a large scratch has appeared. Not sure how I’ve done this but does anyone know if it’s fixable? What do I do, help would be appreciated.

Scratches on hardware are kind of inevitable esp with a Constance buckle. I really don't think it needs polishing and sometimes SAV (after sales service) might not even accept it, as it's deemed normal wear and tear. Likely bumped against something while carrying. Ask if your SA could also show you the correct way to open a Constanve buckle, I owned a few for years until my FSH SA showed me how. 🤣
Some people may try polishing it but that seems rather deep and I myself wouldn't attempt it.
My advice is to just wear and enjoy your C, just like the first scratch on a brand new watch or piece of jewellery, you have made it personalised and unique now!

has anyone had this kind of yellowing on their handles? wondering if this is fixable myself or at H spa. tried using leather cleaning solution myself and didn't work 😿

Does anyone have thoughts on the repairability of this B35? It appears that it would require completely new glazing and fairly large touch ups on all corners and on the piping. I’m not sure if this is a major repair or fairly easy nor do I have any idea what the cost would be.

take it to spa - I can understand why you ask the question on here
but getting the assessment direct from Hermes is the best approach
you should get a nice surprise

As someone who sent 3 bags to spa (2 pre-loved in similar condition) it should be fairly easy. Reglazing of the edges is a standard procedure as is colour touch-up of the leather

The only thing might be a slightly different blue tone in the colour touch ups that will blend in, but might not 100% match the colour for anyone with a discerning eye and enough time to stare at it...
