Hi ladies, can any of you tell me a little about Hermes Repair/Refurbish policy? Can you send any Hermes bag back to them and will they clean it up (for a price?)? I have the chance to buy a vintage Hermes bag from a friend but the bag is in SUCH sad condition, really beaten up. I like a bit of a vintage look but not a trashed bag  I'd be willing to take a chance on it if Hermes will clean it up for me - I don't know a leather shop around here I could trust with it!

thank you!
I just got my 1956 black box Kelly 35 back from Hermes and while the cost was high, it was worth it. They restitched the gussets and top flap, polished the hardware, keys & lock, gave me a replacement clochette, repainted & re-finished the entire bag.

Below is a price breakdown for anyone’s visibility if their considering getting their bags worked on by Hermes.

Thanks for sharing these details, would love to see photos of the bag!

Hi ladies, would really appreciate your help with this one. My bag is approximately 5 years old, Kelly gold Togo. I bought it in Japan recently from a reputable re-seller. The stitching is quite close together and I’ve just noticed that it looks like the leather has torn where a stitch has been too tight?

I’ve also noticed some cracking on the edges of edge paint/seal on the side of the bag.

Should I send it to the spa?

Have you had this bag authenticated by bababebi?

Help!

My Lindy Touch has lost one of the zipper top stops. I notice the Lindy’s use the RiRi zippers. My questions are: is this a simple enough repair that I can do myself (literally clamping on a teeny piece of metal), and are these zippers made custom in actually palladium plating like the rest of the hardware or is this just the regular RiRi silver color that they have available?

I’m having a hard time rationalizing sending out my bag just for this 2 second fix. Has anyone had this happen or repaired a zipper in this way?

Thank you!!!

I just bought my first Hermes second hand and heard that the spa doesn’t clean interiors. Is this true? The interior is quite dirty on this bag and I have no idea how to clean it or if it even could be cleaned. Any ideas??IMG_4497.webp

They won't clean interiors.

Use a clean stiff brush and go gently at least at first. Dirt should brush out of suede

I'm considering purchasing a VERY worn K35 in raisin. The structure of the bag looks ok, but it has faded significantly and there are deep corner scuffs. I know the spa can do color restoration, but I'm unaware of what to expect. Would they be able to get this one back to somewhere near the original color? Can they address scuff this deep?
