I haven't sent toile to the spa, but I have sent a couple of cloth, non-leather bags. They tell you they don't clean, but when I've gotten the bags bag, they were definitely cleaned and better looking than when I sent them. I always get the "we can on spa the leather" speech every time, but I think they just don't want to be responsible if they can't clean something.
Thank you !

Hello, i’m fairly new to the H world. I recently purchased this bag Pre loved. Everything about it is amazing, it’s truly one of my dream bags. However, I sadly noticed this defect. I’m struggling to decide on whether or not to return it or keep it and take it in for repair. Has anyone else had experience with the zipper end chipping off and how easily is it repaired? I do not have a H boutique anywhere near me or in my state. I would appreciate any of your opinions and feedback! 🙏

Hi everyone, I’m new here so excuse me if it’s not the right place to expose my issue. I get a Birkin 25 Togo Black with RGHW from 2021 and I wonder if anyone else has seen on a Birkin a flap of leather protruding from the left plate ?
And is it normal to have rivet/spike looking rusty or oxidize (back of the plaque). Can the Spa fix these 2 issues ? The seconde one, I’m not sure maybe it’s just the right evolution of rivet…
You can see it on the images below.

Thank you in advance

I've only limited experience with a few H bags being taken to spa, but this is not something I've seen before (and can't imagine how that happened!). If it were me I would try to get an email address for the closest after sales, send them photos and ask if it is something that might be able to be repaired. Hermes do not generally work on the interior of bags, but I have read of instances where a zipper or a zipper pull was replaced. I'm not sure if they would do this as I think the zipper would still be functional, but it can't hurt to ask.
Bare in mind though that if they will repair it, I think you will need to take it to Hermes, probably wait several months and then collect it again and I have no idea of the cost involved.
If you really really love the bag and are 100% sure of authenticity you could just keep it and use it as is. After all, no one will see this except you!
Edited to add that I suggested this because I had an interior seam with split resin on the inside of my Birkin 18 months or so back. I emailed the after sales lady in London who sent photos to Paris to ask if they would repair it (there was no artisan in London at the time), they said yes so I took it in.

However much this might be one of your dream bags
I would favour returning the bag if you can.
You don't want to start off with a defect like that;
nor do you want the anxiety of arranging for repair with the inherent waiting time for assessment and then repair.
I believe you would physically have totake the bag into Hermes.

Thank you for ur feedback! Yes, that’s what my gut is telling me too! I just needed confirmation that I wasn’t being too picky and making a big deal about it. :)

Thank you for sharing your input. I definitely would have a lot more difficulty with sending her back if I lived near a boutique! You’re right, no one else would ever know so I should just use and enjoy her. I just wish I could overlook these types of things!! 😩😩

If you are near to a large store it would be worth taking it into Hermes for an opinion. The metalwork could be normal but the protruding piece of leather is most odd - easily addressed with a scalpel, but that should not be necessary.

I personally wouldn't be comfortable with this bag.
However, Hermès does fix zippers on authentic H bags; they don't clean interiors, but will usually fix issues such as this.
Does anyone know if H stores offer jewelry cleaning in-house?
Yes, they do. It is outrageously priced IMHO ;)

Hi all, I’m considering buying a Halzan in clemence in trench color. The seller has disclosed these stains that appear to be ink or makeup. Based on your experience, can sending the bag to a spa get rid of these stains? Thank you IMG_4993.pngIMG_4994.png
