Can the spa repair leather creases in taurillon clemence? Preloved picotin bag is in good shape but the creases towards the bottom seem excessive and not attractive... even for clemence. thank you.
Creasing is natural, leather is skin and just like our skin its pliable and prone to stretching and sagging (sad but true)
I very much doubt they could 'repair' the creases but the best thing to do is take it to a boutique and ask if spa can help.

Update: my Hermes Kelly has just come back from the Hermes bag spa. Pleasantly surprised that the whole process took just 4 weeks and it’s been touched up beautifully! You can’t even tell that the scuff on the handle and corners were there before. Only thing they couldn’t quite remove were the scratches on the tadelakt leather body.

I have a vintage Kelly lizard bag that i purchased from a reseller. I live in california so my local Boutique wont accept it for repair and suggested i call the Madison location. I have called the 800# for 2 months straight and no one will call me back to have it sent in for repair. Is this normal customer service for Hermes? i have a few Birkins that are in good condition so i have never needed to send it in. Their customer service is horrible!

Call the Madison store directly and ask for after-sales care. Good luck!

Agree with @QuelleFromage . I don’t know why your local boutique won’t accept your bag for evaluation, and/or wouldn’t give you an explanation, assuming that you brought it in personally. ( I always assumed one had to bring in the bag to evaluate whether this can be repaired, especially in a tricky case, but that is simply bc it is what I have always done ).

An exotic repair can easily cost more than the resale price of the bag, especially if you got a good deal. If the skin is damaged, and a panel or entire part has to be replaced, it may not be possible or worth it. A specialist may need to evaluate your bag, and there may not be one on site.

ETA: I don’t know what repairs Madison would do versus what it sends to Paris; I don’t know if you need CITES to transport or even to have it sent back to CA; or if that is possible given CA’s restrictions on exotic leather (including lizard as of 2022) . I am a solid Madison client (both retail and repair), and I also have to say that it can take a very LONG time to get a quote. And, even longer to get a repair. In this scenario, and others related to repair, your SA can also help/advise. Both SAs and repair are usually excited to see older bags.

Beautiful people. Advice needed, my 1 month old Birkin purchased from the store is peeling. Used only twice. I first noticed a peel a week after purchase. I don’t know what happened. What are my options?
That's a real shame, but it looks like it may be a scratch to me. Did you maybe catch it on something without realising? I'm sure if you take it back to Hermes they can send it for repairs to make it look less noticeable. It may take a while though.

I agree, looks more like a scrape. Leather doesn't normally "peel" per se.

Same thing happened to my Prada shoes and my steering wheel; I had no idea where it might have come from. And I am super careful with my stuff! So it definitely can happen to the best of us, even when we least expect it.

Is it on the front or rear of the bag? If it's the rear and not as noticeable (i.e. you have a B35 or larger), it may not be worth it to you send it in and be without it for months. Otherwise if it's on the front (or even if it's on the rear & you think it'll bother you), just send it to Spa and they should make it look as good as new.

Thanks. It’s definitely possible I scratched it on something without knowing. I will email my SA.

Does anyone know if Hermes will spa bags in white (blanc) colour? I have one in taurillon clemence that has mild yellowing on certain parts of the exterior leather and was wondering if hermes can get rid of that
I have had my White Birkin in Taurillon sent to the SPA 2 x. The inside is very hello which is the only part they cannot spa but the outside should be ok :)

Thanks for chiming in. It’s on the side and bottom left corner. I was leaning towards doing nothing, but wasn’t sure if it would get worse.
