I am waiting on some scarves to return for Paris. I don't know if it has been mentioned but hermes will pleat your scarves (any size, old, new) for a small cost. I always liked the plisse scarves but I never purchased. When the SA suggested it to me as an option to revitalise scarves, I thought it was a good idea and sent in some 90cms.

Like anything that goes to spa, process was the same. Items sent in, examined and quote emailed for approval. Turnaround was quoted 6 months (no different to other items) at cost of 65 USD each (I'm converting from a different currency).

(I don't know if this has already been mentioned by other members so I might be repeating)
Would loveeeee to see when the scarves return! My mom only loves the plisse scarves but in smaller sizes (I believe currently they only come in huge sizes) and this would be a great option for her !

Hi all, my Kelly has a slight white residue stuck on it. Tried to dab with a damp cloth and it lessened the stain to some extent, but still there nonetheless and affecting my enjoyment of the bag. My SA said it’s so minor and hardly worth sending to the spa over, but I’m debating whether to check out the LA boutique and seeing if it can be touched up on site. Based on ppls experience would generally the minimum quote be 325 for this ? And can they do it on the spot or would I have to send the bag in and come back in x amount of time for it ? Another option is to experiment with leather cleaners/conditioners but I’m quite worried about doing so.

In May I dropped off 5 bags for spa-ing at the Madison Ave shop, and 4 just came back (the 5th went to Paris because it’s a crinoline and apparently they only repair crin’s there). They all look glorious! I’m especially impressed by the job they did on my JPG 42 in Rubis Togo, as I use it as a travel bag and it was in rough shape. Here it is in its newly revived splendor - confirmation of the Hermes dictum that “luxury is that which can be repaired”

Beautiful bag @Virevolte! I was wondering though, about the crinoline bag that’s off to Paris. I have been under the impression that crinoline could not be repaired. I’d love to hear more about this if you can share :flowers:

Sure, @textilegirl - I’ll definitely report as soon as my crin bag (a K40 with Fauve Barenia trim) comes back from Paris. In fact to my eye there wasn’t much “repair” that needed to be done; I just wanted it to be cleaned. But even that, from what I understand, had to be done in the Paris workshop — we’ll see what miracles they perform there!

I bought this vintage Kelly years ago. There are 2 initials inside the flap from previous owner. I wonder if H spa is able to erase them.View attachment 5867830View attachment 5867831
I think it would be very difficult to do that without leaving some surface damage to the leather.
Consequently I doubt Hermes would undertake what you wish, because it would not want to have something leave its ateliers in less than optimum condition.

The best thing for you to is to take it to Hermes and ask.
If the response is, 'No', you will have lost nothing and if the presence of the stamping is a problem, you will have to consider other options.

I had something similar on my 30B and it was taken in on May 5th and received back on the 22nd. I paid $325 and am in the SF area.

My box 28K came back from spa and hardware replacement (960 USD) . Thrilled with how the bag looks. I did was to post here that SpA did not erase some of the scratches but that they are somewhat resolved into a patina. It was very hard to capture the scratches in a photo, and in normal light, they are not apparent.

What a magnificent bag, @880! The patina is gorgeous, the scratches not at all apparent. So glad that you have this beauty and that you two are reunited. Getting a bag spa’d is not a quick process, but as your photos show, it is definitely worth the wait.

Maybe LA is faster than NY. When I took my two week old k28 quadrille to Spa bc it had a tiny bit of white inside the handle join (that I could have fixed in two seconds with a qtip) it took many weeks to come back. They told me at the time that they wanted to take it in bc it was so new, but that there would be no charge. Whenever I take anything to spa, I brace myself to be without the bag for months, so I try to do it in the off season (for example, if you won’t wear this bag in the summer) take it then. . .

:flowers:Has anyone used the Hermes spa in Toronto? My vintage Kelly’s hardware is oxidized and wanted to know if they do it in house or have to send it away for months. Does anyone know how much it might cost around? Thanks in advance:heart:
@cottoncandy101 yes I have. There's no in-house spa service. You can bring your Kelly to the store and your SA can help you with sending the request to the Aftersales Dept. (you'd have to leave your bag with them for inspection, with receipt.). You'll receive an email confirmation whether they're able to do it and if so, how much it would cost, before you commit and confirm that they can go ahead with the repair.
