In May I dropped off 5 bags for spa-ing at the Madison Ave shop, and 4 just came back (the 5th went to Paris because it’s a crinoline and apparently they only repair crin’s there). They all look glorious! I’m especially impressed by the job they did on my JPG 42 in Rubis Togo, as I use it as a travel bag and it was in rough shape. Here it is in its newly revived splendor - confirmation of the Hermes dictum that “luxury is that which can be repaired”

Epsom
I realise Epsom does not have the reputation of being like new after spa.
Scratches and abrasions are not expected to be magicked away.
However if there are some more superficial marks and lines like these,
might one expect a visit to spa to make a worthwhile improvement?
Thank you

Does Hermes spa clean toile ?
I haven't sent toile to the spa, but I have sent a couple of cloth, non-leather bags. They tell you they don't clean, but when I've gotten the bags bag, they were definitely cleaned and better looking than when I sent them. I always get the "we can on spa the leather" speech every time, but I think they just don't want to be responsible if they can't clean something.

I have sent my Vintage Kelly 28 in Vache Ardennes to the spa beginning of June 23. I’ve inherited the bag from my beloved late mother-in-law some years ago. To be honest I think the bag has never been sent to spa before.
Roughly 2 months later I got the estimate:

Estimated lead time is 25 weeks  they will replace the top handle, which is the major cost driver.

I an astonished they agreed to renew the stitching on the inside pocket because I thought they won’t do any work on the inside of the bag. Maybe because it’s vintage? Anyway, I am not complaining
I really hope it will be worth it but reading all your posts and seeing the images of the brilliantly repaired bags gives me hope
Hope this might be helpful for others.
Would love to see before and afters when you get it back.

Did anyone get an itemized receipt of their repairs? I vaguely remember seeing a paper my SA showed me when I went to pick up my bag. It had my bag's description (name/style, size, leather) as well as the specific things that were addressed by the atelier. Keep in mind, this was way back in the beginning of the year so my memory is spotty.

For some reason I thought I would also receive the same copy of that paper, but instead I only received a regular receipt that showed the total cost of the spa treatment.

I went to my store today asking if I could have a copy, and my SA said that they are unable to provide me with that form. She ended up just reprinting the same receipt I already received when I picked up my bag.

I tried looking through my email history and nothing's showing up. Sigh, I don't even know who I'd reach out to at this time if my SA couldn't help.

I have received the same general receipt at pick up, but I just searched my email and found the itemized list and costs written in text form as an estimate to approve prior to the workshop starting repairs. Search in your email for emails from your store's after sales specialist and you should find an email with the itemized costs typed out. It is not a receipt (at least this is what they do at my store).

I couldn't find it in my email.

:flowers:Has anyone used the Hermes spa in Toronto? My vintage Kelly’s hardware is oxidized and wanted to know if they do it in house or have to send it away for months. Does anyone know how much it might cost around? Thanks in advance:heart:
