My SA told me that with scarves H can do a charge/send, just not leather. Of course, all rules can be broken if the SM agrees, I think, but not for Bs and Ks.

i've seen it happen with a birkin (not me), but this was not that recently (about a year ago). i think any rule can be broken for hermes lol.

That's inspiring but I think the new strict policy is no charge/send for a B or a K ~ but as you said all rules can be broken!

If I purchase item in nyc and have them ship to my house in nyc, do I get taxed? How much for shipping and is insurance included? I was asked if I wanted to ship my purchases everytime. If I can save on taxes, I'll get it shipped next time.

You pay tax based on where the item is being sent, so yes, you'd have to pay NYC sales tax since there are hermes boutiques in nyc and you live there You'd avoid paying tax if it was being shipped somewhere where there is no Hermes boutique

It's not flat rate. The shipping price for exotic skin bags is around 200 USD. Regular bag should be 75 if I remembered correctly. Not sure about accessories.

Not even the black Amex can in my experience get H to ship a bag BUT they will buy things for you and ship...however I have never said "go get me a black Birkin 30 GHW"...now I am tempted.

AMEX will buy it for you? Like, physically go there and buy for you? Do they do the legwork of locating the item you want? If your card is US based do they only search the US boutiques? Or can you specify that you want them to look in the EU if you know the item is located in a particular store?

The Amex concierge service can purchase the item for you and ship it over to your location. They will locate the item for you worldwide. I've tried their service before.

This is the best news - EVER. Several of my cards come with concierge service but I never know if non-ticket/non-reservation related items sound crazy or unreasonable. THANK YOU!!

Yes, they have a concierge service but I do not know that it extends to Hermes!
