I don't know about Madison, but Wall St messengers things to me in manhattan, as recently as last week.

And I have had H items sent to me free of charge, too. Rarely do they charge me for FedEx deliveries.

I have heard that the boutiques in Paris deliver to the hotels too. So I have no idea why my boutique doesn't. Perhaps due to short staff.

They do. I bought a small bag from Hermès today and they offered to deliver it to my hotel. I appreciate that they offer this service, but it felt a bit strange since I had made a relative small purchase (at least as far as size is concerned). I was happy to carry my shopping bag the short distance to my hotel.

Vigee, it is a great service – I wonder why so few offer it (voluntarily). Most of the time I'm happy to carry my loot, but it would be nice to have this taken care of once in a while.

I was offer the home delivery service in Hong kong when i picked a lindy and a few small goods. But they refuse to do it when i get a cabag this time

I believe no phone orders allowed for leather goods. No international shipping unless transactions physically take place in the boutiques and shipping is per client's request.
But again it depends on how VVIP you are...

H always delivers to my hotel whenever I'm on holiday in Europe. It's for the convenience of customers especially if H is your first stop and you have many more stores to cover.

In the US the official rule is no phone orders for leather items (bags, belts, jewelry). But this is not written in stone and can be waived in some circumstances.

Also, on a semi-related note, has anyone ever used Amex and its concierge (plat, not black) to somehow facilitate an in-store purchase, and if so, what was the cost (assuming they have to use some kind of courier)?

Visa Infinite offers their concierge services for free. And if shipping is required, they will help to facilitate that and shipping will be charged to your card! 💖

Interesting. Never heard of this, is it similar to the Amex concierge, and have you ever used it for this purpose? Thanks.
