That was my understanding too--that the policy is only for new clients. Let's hope so!

no trouble ordering by phone for me....just did it yesterday (since we discovered we are on BIN island and NOT BAN island...but i am a five year client of my H boutique....but i live 2k miles away from this store and nearest H to me is in Los Angeles or Las Vegas....I visit my regular boutique at least 1x yr in person when i visit my sister and take the time to send thank you notes and little gifts of appreciation to the store staff....i think this must only apply to new clients....i think like anything else if you take the time to establish a relationship, that goes a long way....I stick to ONE SA/one boutiqe and they jump through hoops to help me and i repay it by always buying what i ask them to hunt down and then saying thank you

Thank you Trish!!I have been a client of my store for the last five years too!! My store is (I just checked online!!

A long plane ride!
I do send thank you notes too! And I think I have a good relationship, after reading that post I was ready to cry, to think I could not call to order something!
And I will see you soon on BIN/BAN island, just waiting for the packages to arrive!!
BTW I bought new trainers, and ready to workout!!:salute:

I just spoke to my SA in NYC Wall St. The policy only applies to leather pieces.
That's still horrific!
I have heard this policy will soon apply to all customers, including those who have bought from Hermes before. But who knows? It seems that with Hermes, to every rule there are exceptions.
SCP SA just called me and said that the policy applies to EVERYTHING. I told him to go on TPF to see the emerging revolt. Are they nuts??And that's horrific too if true!

That's just crazy!
I mean, what's the point of such a policy? If there is merchandise to sell, why not sell it? Is this their way of preventing all the shelves from being bare?
