It must only be for new clients...if not I will no longer be able to purchase from H.:crybaby:

no trouble ordering by phone for me....just did it yesterday (since we discovered we are on BIN island and NOT BAN island :laugh:...but i am a five year client of my H boutique....but i live 2k miles away from this store and nearest H to me is in Los Angeles or Las Vegas....I visit my regular boutique at least 1x yr in person when i visit my sister and take the time to send thank you notes and little gifts of appreciation to the store staff....i think this must only apply to new clients....i think like anything else if you take the time to establish a relationship, that goes a long way....I stick to ONE SA/one boutiqe and they jump through hoops to help me and i repay it by always buying what i ask them to hunt down and then saying thank you :D

:laugh: i know, my rowboat can't leave till fedex delivery from h.com gets here tomorrow :laugh: yeah, got new reebok zigs as well for all the jpg weight lifting and cardio we'll be doing....:graucho: i'm sure H boutiques have to be VERy careful for credit card theft/fraud is so damn rampant and they msut stay above reproach as far as Id theft or credit card fraud is concerned...that would be BAD for business :nogood:

I have heard this policy will soon apply to all customers, including those who have bought from Hermes before. But who knows? It seems that with Hermes, to every rule there are exceptions.

SCP SA just called me and said that the policy applies to EVERYTHING. I told him to go on TPF to see the emerging revolt. Are they nuts??

That's just crazy! :pout::rant::mad::nono:

I mean, what's the point of such a policy? If there is merchandise to sell, why not sell it? Is this their way of preventing all the shelves from being bare?

I purchased three bags by phone/email last year from my SA. (And btw, they were all "older" stock--L, M stamps for instance--that were probably sitting around for a while.)

Must be.

I can envision the meetings in my head "if a customer can't be bothered to go in person to a store, we don't want them"

I'm exaggerating here but it must be to keep inventory in stores.

Ok well if this is true then I am done with H. I pay by wire transfer, don't use cc for purchases. This is sad:sad1:and I am not going to bother my SA to call about this policy until I need something.
