I don't know how the new policies would benefit customers like me who have spent thousands of dollars on their boutique already and still have not been offered any B or K, let alone talking about a limit of 1 B or 1 K per year. I would jump over the moon if I got offered 1 of those bag a year! In the past, tired of waiting, I have turned to resellers but now because of those recent changes, all the resellers have raised their price even more drastically.:sad::sad: I think I am going to quit completely!

You are not alone. I'm at the finish line as well. There will be life after Hermes (and more moolah in my account), so perhaps there is a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow.

I find there is a lot more inventory in the stores including the coveted bags. I don't know if this is a result of the new policy or what, but I remember times when SA's had the phone glued to their ears. i don't see that as much anymore. it's definitely a nicer shopping experience.

as for getting a B or K, I suggest telling your SA what you want (don't wait to be offered one) and dropping by at the store more often.

Just found out that I cannot order H gift cards over the phone. Wow, what reseller is going to sell H gift cards? Now this is getting ridiculous. Am I missing something here? Is there a trick that resellers use with gift cards? My SA has not explained this to me yet.

Here's a new twist. I live in the Caribbean, so supposedly no shipping outside US. BUT, I got an email from my SA yesterday evening that my CDC in crocus w/GHW arrived. I called her today to see how we would handle shipping outside US given the new policy. No problem. My SA said that the policy is directed towards deterring resellers. Hermes will now look at a client's buying (Birkins and Kellys) and shipping history and will determine whether to authorize shipping outside the state or US. She said they are basically targeting buyers of great amounts of Birkins and Kellys that are then shipped to different addresses. So, I should expect my CDC by next week and my Kelly Danse by the summer. :smile1:

Update: Got an email from my SA and my CDC is shipping out tomorrow. So it appears there is light at the end of the tunnel for everyone. :smile1:

I am happy for anyone who gets what s/he wants from a Hermes boutique but today, I was in "my" boutique and I wanted to put the shawl I was returning on the counter while I was looking and you would have thought I had placed a bomb on the counter. Nope, can't do that. New policy says so. Since it was not "their" merchandise, I had to keep it in my hands while I shopped. Okay. I asked about a CDC, and my usually darling sa almost admonished me for asking since I have "so many." I think sa's are feeling the pressure and even they don't like it. Big ole Bummer! Also, even if I know of a bag sitting in another boutique, my sa may not call and transfer it. No "leather" transfers. Big bummer again.

I had same experience like yours in the same boutique two weeks ago.

I read in the inventory thread that there's a double sens available in another store and asked my sa to transfer the bag(if possible). However, she seemed to be annoyed and just walked away!!!!!! Later she came back and became super nice when I was browsing blankets and decorative pillows. So basically, sa dont want to talk any about leather goods. And I am still on a waitlist for a bearn wallet for 6 months already!

This is why I don't shop in H boutiques anymore. There is no other luxury brand on the planet that treats their customers in this rude, inappropriate manner. Not allowing a valued customer to have her hands free to browse is beyond ungracious. I'm so sorry you had this experience, dear Lisa, because you are so sweet and giving.

Makes one think twice about walking into H boutiques these days. They should close up all their brick and mortar sites and sell on line. H would do just as well or even better while saving SA salaries, benefits and us a lot of gas,and for some airfare.

I remember having less than stellar shopping experiences at Circuit City and thus stopped going. I did a happy dance when they closed. Sam's Club with their long lines, few cashiers no matter what time of day or day you went, I stopped going. Why make life more stressful? It's about pain avoidance/agrravation avoidance.

Somehow I feel like there is something wrong with me for feeling this way, but the buying experience is part of the whole enchilada, and I don't want to keep having these less than fabulous experiences because it rubs off on my pieces. Am I dumb? Probably. Gah!

If after 24 hours the experience is still leaving a bad taste in your mouth, particularly while looking at/wearing your Hermes treasures, write a letter to US Corporate detailing what happened. You may or may not get a response, but at least you'll hopefully void that unpleasant feeling. You can find their address on the web, as well as their head of Customer Service.
