What amazes me is the discrepancy in H policy across all stores. Looks like there is a mandate but the SMs can bend the rules.

Exactly. This is maddening, inconsistant policies.:nogood:I prefer policies that I can count on, not something that may change dependent on the person, place, time, and alignment of the moon.:shrugs:

Here's a new twist. I live in the Caribbean, so supposedly no shipping outside US. BUT, I got an email from my SA yesterday evening that my CDC in crocus w/GHW arrived. I called her today to see how we would handle shipping outside US given the new policy. No problem. My SA said that the policy is directed towards deterring resellers. Hermes will now look at a client's buying (Birkins and Kellys) and shipping history and will determine whether to authorize shipping outside the state or US. She said they are basically targeting buyers of great amounts of Birkins and Kellys that are then shipped to different addresses. So, I should expect my CDC by next week and my Kelly Danse by the summer. :smile1:

Great news, I´m so happy for you! Crocus with GHW is stunning, congrats!

Where I am it´s business as usual. I´m currently contemplating whether or not to take another B in 30:p

Glad to hear everything worked out well for you. :)

To follow up on what your SA may have been implying in her statement, there are many many US customers who have never purchased a B or K and had it shipped anywhere - in state, out of state, in the US, out of the US, to Mars or back - that are being adversely affected by these recent changes. I hope that the prohibition on shipping - regardless of type of item -- isn't based on (mis-)interpretation of past shipping history or buying history because if this were to be true, then many with non-suspicious track records and unassailable loyalties will become casualties of a war that we are not even part of. As the old saying goes, don't throw out the baby with the bath water! Lol

Thank you lala28. My SA stated that they were looking at clients buying multiple Birkins and Kellys and shipping them to an address that is different from the billing address on their credit cards.

Warm fuzzies to everyone reading this thread! :)

How can people buy multiple Bs & Ks and ship them to different addresses when most US stores have the two bags limit per customer per year ? Unless some stores have been turning a blind eye at certain customers. At my local store, no matter how much I spend, two bags (whether it is 2 Bs or 2Ks or 1B or 1K) is the max that any loyal customer can have.

Don't forget that most resellers have multiple people sourcing bags for them so I doubt if this new policy will deter them. It is the loyal customers that have no local H store that will get hurt at the end.
