this is ridiculous...24hrs for SA to close a birkin deal..no wander those waited will never get a birkin....and the SA keep calling her best customer whom on the hand cash out thru the resellers..Hee hee. And, on top of that, no returns/refunds! Only store credit!
I didn't even have to give my credit card number, she had me fill out a form last time I was in with the cc information. You are right I am not asking any questions!Don't ask questions! Just take the charge send and run without looking back! Lol. Congrats!
I must be as thick as a brick. How do these new rules stop resellers? It is not like they walk in wearing an Reseller t-shirt ala the scarlett letter. It seems more like let's see how pissed off we can make customers? Btw, I'm still not buying the idea that things are changing in an effort to thwart reselling. No corporation operates in such fashion.
I chuckle at the short notice to decide. Unless I have a helicopter and they a landing pad on their roof there is no way I could get to the boutique in less than 1.5 hrs. Toss is bumper to bumper traffic and/or an accident, we are talking Mission Impossible.
Maybe H should institute an intelligence test to determine those who can purchase, or have a turn in a reseller program where you turn in the name of resellers and rack up gold stars. Get enough stars and you get to buy a purse..
I totally agree!I'm beginning to think that birkins should be special order only. It certainly would make it easier - and they could charge even more! - to simply have a bespoke birkin and no "ready to wear". There would be no politics on what SA gets to sell what and when and while resellers might exist, they would not be able to run an operation that simply targets and buys up available stock (by being sneaky and bribes & taking it from the hands of regular old customers) since there would not be any and they would have to wait for their bags like the rest of us.
I was able to charge send, but I needed to be at the store for them to swipe my card....even though they have what they need in the safe. The charge send required "special" permission from what I understand.
No one at the store was happy about the new rule. They are hoping it will morph or be rescinded all together.
Shoes are not included as leather goods....but keychains are. Go figure!

Which is funny because I was told by the SM at my local H on Tuesday that leather key charms are NOT considered leather goods in terms of purchase / shipping restrictions! Nor are leather belts! Hee hee hee (insert insanity here!)
