Thank you! I wasnt sure which was a smarter location to concentrate my spending at. I love the convenience of Manhasset since going into the City would be a hassle. I was a little apprehensive because I have never liked the Hirshleifers SAs and was thinking Hermes would be similar. You definitely convinced me to give it a try and have an open mind.
I totally understand. Hirshleifer's can be tricky. Anthony in their shoe department is fabulous, though. If you have any other questions, feel free to DM me.

A question for NYC shoppers: I really want a SO but I think it is very competitive in New York City boutiques. I have been shopping in the Madison store for almost two years now. Have a lovely SA who got me many hard to find items including two mini Lindy, two Kelly Pochette, a Constance 18, Kelly Danse, Kelly wallet to go, plus 5 Birkin/Kelly but I haven't been offered a SO yet. I wonder how long I have to wait for that ...... Any idea?

Why don't you ask your SA?

Hi, This is my first post here and I hope I could get some advice from you all. I live on Long Island and have shopped at manhasset in the past. I was told the store was independent so after some research and recommendations I made an appointment at Madison. I had (what I thought) a very pleasant experience, Purchasing items in leather goods, home, and shoes. Upon checking out, i inquired about a possible wish list, the SA explained that with continued loyalty and consistent purchases across multiple departments I would be able to receive a Birkin or Kelly. I knew about this previously and was glad to hear what I was reading online. The SA wrote down my “wish list” and asked me to email it as well.
This is where things got a little funny. I waited until the following Monday to email because I know they are busy and I didn’t want to harass the SA. In my email I inquired about purchasing another leather goods item and mentioned wish list bags for the future. No reply. After 10 days, I texted my SA to once again inquire about the leather good item and received a text the next day (no problem, I have no issues waiting but please don’t ignore me). The SA sent me pics of possible options one of which I accepted. I also inquired about a homeware item, no reply. SA ignored what I asked and when confirming my home address, I quickly responded that there was a mistake in the street name. Guess what? It was shipped to the original address which was totally wrong! After receiving my item, I waited until business hours to send a text thanking the SA and of course no reply...

1-ignored my email (fine I can overlook this)
2-when I asked for homeware ignored me
3-asked me to confirm my address and ....ignored me again?
4-had no response to a simple thank you

Am I losing my mind? Should I forget Madison? This was my first time there and although my in store experience was fine I just feel like I’m kissing ass here.. I’m still the customer and I’m waiting a decent amount of time and respecting work hour boundaries. Let me know your thoughts! Thank you again!

And yet again, I recommend MP....
Your purchase history would be apparent to them, and everyone there is lovely.

I would give Madison one more try before giving up - go in and purchase something small (so you don’t invest too much in case you decide to switch SA and or store) and see if you still feel the same way after that shopping trip. It might also help to ask ur SA what’s the best way to communicate with him/her as it seems you might want someone that’s more responsive (that’s important to me too so I completely get where you’re coming from..). I’m not sure if you’re planning to build a long-term relationship with H but I do think it’s key to find someone you feel comfortable shopping with. H shopping should be fun - not stressful! :)

Also, the manhasset store has really friendly and helpful SAs - you don’t have to invest your time with one SA only. They don’t get commission from what I understand so you can just work with whoever is available. Just be prepared to spend a significant amount across RTW, jewelry and homeware to get a quota bag.

I appreciate the feedback, just didn’t know if I’m imagining my issues. I completely understand you have to do the song and dance with Hermes, I respect that. However, this is just unacceptable in my opinion. I’m definitely considering going to meatpacking, just nervous this will happen again. I know they are by appointment only so I guess I have to play my luck!

To be honest, I am nervous to show my face at Madison again. I am absolutely looking to build a long term relationship. As for manhasset, I want my purchases in the system in case I ever decide to try my luck in Paris.
