Maybe we walked past each other? I had an 11am appointment and spent equal time on the main level and upstairs. I did notice two other clients with a bleu nuit k28 and bambou b25.

That was me with the Bambou B25! I noticed the client with the K28 as well, haha! I had an appointment at noon and was mostly hidden upstairs in the dressing room by mens RTW but spent some time walking around women's shoes and home.

We shall see what happens with the wishlist. My main boutique is still Greenwich because it’s only 15 minutes away. It’s not a big store though, so their stock has been limited. I’m sure if I’m in a pinch for a present, I can also text the SA and she’ll just make something magically appear or I can text and SA at Madison where they have great inventory.

I knew it! As soon as you said you were there, I recall a beautiful bambou b25 posted on the forum this past year! And you had a gorgeous pinkish bright Twilly. I’m like that dog lover in the park - notice the pups not the person. In H’s case, I notice the bag not the person. Small world.

Good eye, and small world indeed! Were you wearing any distinctive colors that I may remember?

New York standard issue head to toe black . I was heading down to street level with my SA to pay for my items. You were heading up and my eyes happened to lock onto your B because it truly is glorious IRL. And it was at the tip of my tongue to compliment you on your choice of bags. My SA and I had already spoken to the lovely lady with the K28.

So funny- I was there on Saturday also! But later in the day (4pm) so missed you both. Phooey! And yes- spent the time in RTW, all of which was gorgeous and severely tempting.
I agree with your point sf_newyorker: it had relaxed a bit, but with the increase in walk in traffic, the SAs were really stressed. It will have to constantly evolve as needed, and we will all just go with it.
Of all the locations I’ve been to, Meatpacking is hands down my fav, for multiple reasons, and LOVE that it’s my home store.♥️

Ah! I was too excited to head upstairs as my SA managed to snag a new season coat in a FR32 for me to try on (in my Hermes lifetime I've never seen a 32 and always have to resort to a 34 and heavily tailor!) so I didn't even notice passing anyone on the stairs  next time say hi though!

My appointment was originally at 4 but was then asked to come in earlier, so we just missed each other as well! Agree with you though, love Meatpacking

I’m so turned off to the madison store. I’ve worked with an SA there a couple of years ago and she was great. But I’ve been trying to make an appointment for two days. No one calls me back. I’m disappointed. I think I’ll call the meat packing store. They seem friendlier. But now I’m kinda turned off to the whole thing. Why should I beg someone to take my money????

I was told they are booked solid for this week and next week and they aren’t letting anyone in without an appointment. That’s probably why no one called you back, but totally understand your feelings!

Thank you! That makes sense now. I
just wish the people that answer the phones would say that. Instead they are telling me that someone will call back by the end of the day. Which never happens....

Madison does take longer to respond...but they have a lot more inventory than meatpacking. It's a trade-off. Good luck!

the inventory is so much better at Madison—totally agree! It’s just frustrating
Have you tried reaching out to your SA directly? I saw my SA over the weekend without a problem, I reached out to him on Wednesday for an appoint that Saturday via email and he asked me what time I'd like to come in (so it sounds like there are more than one timeslot available). Anyway I ended up going in at 11am. The store did seem a bit busy when I first got there, they also kept the door locked and so the doorman would have to let people in. After my appointment, while waiting for a cab outside, I overheard this couple trying to do a walk-in for bags, the doorman went in to "check" and came back after a minute saying that the handbag inventory is low so they're doing appointments only.

For reference, I checked out the meatpacking store about a month ago to exchange a scarf for a different CW and tried walking in. The doorman there said it was appointment only but also went in to "check" and eventually came back and told me they can see me in about 45 min. I went to have lunch across the street and got a call from the store to schedule my impromptu appointment. In the end I was seen by someone about 1 hour after the initial walk-in.

I'm not sure if this information helps at all but I hope you manage to get an appointment soon!
