I was told they do countDo non-quota bags count towards your quota for a birkin or Kelly in New York?
Just asking-Are you able to walk around unaccompanied at Madison or Wall Street? Or is it that you have been able to walk around elsewhere outside the city?We went to the meatpacking boutique yesterday and I’m torn on how the experience went. Firstly, they couldn’t find our reservation so we had to wait outside for around 15 minutes, but that wasn’t a big deal. First impression, it’s a nice store, but you’re not allowed to look around. Upon entry, we were seated at the back of the store and provided some beverages. SA was energetic and very nice. She asked why we were there and our response was “to mainly see the new boutique” but we couldn’t walk around because of social distancing. This seems to be specific to meatpacking as we’ve been to a few boutiques since COVID and had no such restrictions before. SA asked the wife what she was interested in and about the only thing that popped into her head was a retourne Kelly. We got the normal “well, we reserve those sort of dream bags for our normal local clientele” which was fine and we understand the game. But then once she looked up our history, she proceeded to build the entire wife’s wishlist. Bags, colors, leathers, hardware, etc.
Just a weird experience
That’s how Vegas is too. Makes it difficult to be randomly inspired but I’m sure it will go back to normal soon enough. You are assigned an SA via appointment or at the door at other boutiques as well, but you’re free to look around the boutique while they’re in the stock room, finishing up with another customer, etc. At meatpacking, I was going to go point to a wallet that was in a color my wife would love, and the SA stopped me and told me she had to go get it.

I hope this first experience will not prevent you and your wife from visiting the Meatpacking location again. Since its opening, this has become my home store after my rather solid and entertaining year at Madison. We went to the meatpacking boutique yesterday and I’m torn on how the experience went. Just a weird experience
Since the reopening, I’ve visited at least four occasions with the most recent being this past Saturday. I can tell you, the experience varied. Meatpacking was a little more relaxed in August, but then capacity became an issue when the doors were unlocked allowing for walk-ins. The SAs became highly stressed and felt unsafe. So they’ve gone back to the more conservative approach to ensure that the staff felt secured. I’m okay with that...and I still approach each visit as I’d done pre-COVID: fully prepared with a focused list of must haves and no other distractions!![]()
Maybe we walked past each other? I had an 11am appointment and spent equal time on the main level and upstairs. I did notice two other clients with a bleu nuit k28 and bambou b25.Reiterating what @sf_newyorker said! I was at Meatpacking this past Saturday as well (maybe we saw each other?!) and despite shopping regularly at Meatpacking all summer since reopening post-mandated lockdown March onward, my SA let me know that they have reverted back to strictly appointment only to reduce the flow of traffic and ensure the safety of the staff. In July, when walk-in traffic began to be accepted once again, my shopping visits was a little chaotic and you could see that the employees were stressed, frazzled, and scrambling.
I, myself, spent most of my appointment cooped up in the dressing room having fun with new season RTW, so didn't bother walking around much at all to mitigate temptationmy SA knows my style too well though so didn't work, lol, but Meatpacking really is great so I hope you @cravin consider coming back. Extra precautions were also being taken due to the event taking place all weekend!
