You have to go to store...they won't tell you much on phone. I think it's a no on phone orders for leather items, but not sure on anything else

I agree, I called this morning for a CdC and my SA told me that he won't be able to take payment over the phone. He can hold it for me till the end of the day, but I have to be there to pay for it in person.. It takes me around five hours to get to the boutique, so I wonder how that will work once I get the call from the boutique for a B? Will I not be able to wire the money until I physically get to the boutique? Sigh.

Yeah that is difficult for sure. Do you have a friend in ny who can buy/pick it up for you maybe?

Was anyone able to score a B with Aleksey as their SA? I know I may be overthinking this, but I really really do NOT want to play "the game" with a SA with a slim chance of being offered one. I'm worried because I just calculated how much it would be to get everything on this year's wishlist, and it summed up to around $15K(not including the B). I want to buy mainly scarves and leather items, and some china, but have almost zero interest in the RTW. I'm more than willing to spend the money for the items that I love, but I don't want the process to be like pulling teeth. If I want to buy a B, I want the SA to be able to help me, rather than leading me on. I guess I'm just paranoid because one of my previous SAs in California was like that, leading me on. Should I just let him know that I do expect to be able to buy a B from him later on? TIA for your help!

i think most stores have a hold policy of 3 days, unless they know you are coming from out of town, and then i think some stores, with the discretion of the SM, can possibly hold an item for longer... it really just depends on your relationship with the boutique. i think these H "rules" bend...

I don't have experience with alexey. Do you feel like he is pushing you to buy something you don't want? Wall street sas in general are more easy going so hoping he will be more receptive to what you want. I said I wanted a birkin during my first visit, but also listed other items I wanted.

He was very nice on my last visit, but what worries me is the fact that he seemed very firm on the phone that he cannot hold any leather items for me more than a day. He said if it comes in, we can hold it for you until the the end of the day. No longer than that. Maybe he was just having a bad day, but he wasn't all that particularly nice on the phone. Which makes me think, if he does offer me a B sometime in the future, will he be that "strict" about the "holding items until the end of the day"? I live five hours away from the city, and it will be almost impossible for me to get to the store by the end of the day if he calls me mid-afternoon. I explained this to him yesterday, and he was still firm about the end of the day policy. Maybe I should just try the Short Hills Hermès, which is only three and a half hours away. However, I steered away from that boutique because of all the bad reviews haha. It is almost painful driving into NYC, around five hours with traffic.

I don't have experience with that particular SA but the SA that I work with at Madison Ave once said he might have something that I would be interested in (I wanted a B30 in purple or pink) but he would only be able to hold it until the end of the day. I asked if I could come by on Monday (this was a Saturday and they are not open on Sunday) and he said they have a one day policy. We were just building up our relationship, which is still pretty new right now so I don't know if things will change in the future, but maybe it's just because he doesn't know you as well yet?

Thanks for sharing this, elliesaurus! Maybe that's it, but he wasn't all that particularly nice to me either on the phone. Almost 180 from our initial meeting at the boutique. Or maybe he was having a bad day, but still. For me, I'm almost leaning towards Short Hills in NJ because of the stressful drive into NYC and the possibility of them not holding it for me for more than the end of the day. By the time I get the call and drive down to the boutique, the store would be closed by then. Wall Street was lovely and warm, but maybe it's smarter for me to spend money on somewhere much closer and the drive way less stressful. I really wish it WS was easier to get to! The traffic is always so insane whenever we go into the city!

Hmmm...it's a dilemma...I am not familiar with NJ store so can't suggest anything. but if it was closer to me and not as stressful to drive to (city can be insane I know!) then I would try NJ store and see how the experience there is.

It's kind of ironic - I live right around the corner from the Wall St store but I have never set foot in there because of the store hours. Best of luck in finding a great SA that you enjoy working with!

Hi ladies! I was wondering if someone could recommend a great SA at Wall st. I've been there just once and I was helped by a pretty rude male SA and never went back, it was years ago.. But after hearing everyone here says they have great service at Wall st., I'm willing to give it another try. TIA!
