I was in NYC 1.5 weeks prior to Sandy and visited both Wall Street since I was staying in that vicinity. I also tripped up to Madison and found the staff there more knowledgeable and helpful. The young guy at Wall told me they had no twillies and after chatting for a while, he took me over and pulled out 2. What kind of hell is that? Some things are better left alone, ya know. He said the Graff twilly was out last year even when I said the 90 was last year but there is a Graff twilly. Maybe my brain hiccupped and I lost track of time. Definitely a ying/yan experience from one store to the other, and I understand it is the luck of the draw with SAs as far as their experience/knowledge is concerned.

Which store do you guys feel like usually has better inventory? I've only been to Madison so far, and seem to have pretty good luck with SA and inventory.

Yes! Last April and December 2011.

You are so lucky! Which SA is that? I am waiting for a black one..not sure if it will come soon...

I went to the Madison store and Wall st store last december and both have friendly SAs. i went to the store as a walk-in customer and asked directly for a Kelly or a Birkin. The SA in Wall st told me that they didnt have any Kelly or Birkin at all in store. but the SA in Madison store immediately went to the back and grab a box....what was inside? it was Gold Birkin with palladium hardware...sounds yummy right? but it was size 40! it was wayyyyy to big for me. i had to turn it down.

There's a sticky for "what have you seen" and "inventory" -- the regulars at the NY boutiques have AMAZING memory recall and are well versed in models/colours. Always impressed with their reconn!

Bumping this because it sounds like we are about a year away from the third Manhattan store, at Brookfield Place (formerly World Financial Center).

I used to live in the neighborhood and I was surprised to see H on the signs on the renovation boards in the mall because the Wall St store is so close by.

I think that's a totally logical guess, but who knows.

It is not closing. The new store will not offer all H products, but will focus on fragrances and things of that nature.
