Hi everyone! I’m looking for a little advice as I try to start the relationship building process to buy my first B/K/C here in NYC.
I’ve visited the FSH store twice and tried my luck as a walk-in at 15+ different boutiques in Japan, France, Spain, and Italy, and never had any luck in scoring a quota bag.:crybaby: So I’ve decided to try buying things slowly in my hometown boutiques.

I thought targeting the Meatpacking boutique would be a good strategy, as it’s new and likely doesn’t have as much as a developed clientele as the other 2 locations. I met a SA and we get along well at the store (spent about $1000 so far) but he takes days to respond to my text inquiries about products and I don’t feel he would offer me a desirable bag if I asked. For instance, I asked about the mini Lindy (which some posters here already saw in store) and he told me it would come in late fall.:blah: Not sure if that boutique really isn’t getting them until later or if they will just offer them to others way earlier. And this is just for a lindy, not a Birkin or Kelly!

My questions for those more experienced with the NY boutiques: which boutique do you think I should target for my purchases and which will be most likely to offer me bags? And how much could I reasonably expect to spend before getting an offer for 25/28 kelly, 25/30 Birkin or Constance? I’m strongly considering buying a single big-ticket item like a coat or gold jewelry if it could “guarantee” me a quota bag, but I’m scared of blowing the money, not getting an offer, and then still needing for fork over extra bucks for a bag from a reseller. :-s

If you're local, I think Madison is good, just need to find a SA you click with. I think Madison always has goodies in the back, so if you make a few purchases and develop a good relationship with a SA, I think you have a good chance at getting a bag.

Right now Madison has a lot of gorgeous exotic goodies on display - at least three Rose Scheherazade pieces (wallets) and two Blue Electric matte (I think a 2002 and a Lindy?)
Lots of gorgeous pieces on display if you look around.

You are absolutely right- quickly visited both Madison and Meatpacking store (Oct 12th) and was shocked at the amount of exotics on display at Madison! I saw a crocodile roulis in black which was TDF but I got lucky with Meatpacking boutique and took home a Birkin 30 - no games , just lovely SA who also offered a walk in some other goodies. I’ll be sure to visit both stores again in the future !

Wow congrats! Did you just ask her? Were you a regular there?

Hi - not a regular - it was my first visit. I was looking at some straps and she asked me what bags I had. When she asked for my name( she put it in her iPad) , it was followed by “what bags would you like” and I didn’t hesitate! I felt the entire staff very calm and sincere- by far one of my favorite experiences shopping at Hermes

Congrats on your bag, as many say with Hermes anything is possible.

That's awesome! The NY boutiques are my local stores but I only have history at the Madison Ave location. Definitely need to check out Meatpacking since it's now open - do you remember the SA's name by any chance? :)

Just my opinion, so take it as you will- no offense meant to anyone BUT
I do not think we should be putting any SAs name or info out on the internet-it really could be construed as an privacy issue for them.It also puts them in a potentially unpleasant position- They are immediately under pressure to perform, and they may not want to or be able to. They are professionals, and all strive ( for the most part) to do an excellent job.for anyone who comes in.
WRT Meatpacking- I love it and go there now to the exclusion of the other stores I had gone to. ALL the SAs there are wonderful- although I work mainly with one, others have been terrific and have helped me when she's not there ( sourcing for me, etc.).
When you go,you can rest assured they are all knowledgeable and helpful. As to whether you "click" with someone? Well, regardless if I do, that doesn't mean that person is great for you- so just go and enjoy.
But of course- if anyone wants to give me the secret best SA in all of Paris or London- please feel free to go right ahead! Or how to get him/her to give you an SO there- my scruples would be sorely tested!!

Absolutely agree with this and perhaps should have been more specific re: my post above. Would never expect that I would be told an SA's name publicly and would have exchanged that info via a private message, assuming Hobbiezm was willing, but of course respect all sales staff's privacy and would never want to compromise that.
Thanks for your feedback regarding the store though, I almost never shop in person and once I find an SA at any store or any brand, usually transact entirely through text and then have items picked up on my behalf. Seems like the Meatpacking store is worth a visit though and glad to hear that everyone is friendly and welcoming - I've certainly experienced my fair share of rudeness across various brands (though never Hermes!)

I agree! I personally don't want to share my SAs info even via DM. I don't want them to feel any sort of pressure to perform better because they were referred to them by another client. I, personally, feel that my SA is simply my business and no one else's. If this was any other store I would think different but with the way Hermes sales work, I don't feel comfortable sharing my SAs info with anyone at all, even via DM.

I understand @nymeria ; I had an incident with someone on another forum who tried to get my SA fired because they weren’t offered something. I’ll ping you separately but as you know Hermes Angels work in mysterious ways good luck and I think you will enjoy the experience regardless !

This is a long shot, but - I just found an Hermes bracelet on the street in the west village (Horatio and Hudson street). It was brand new, still had tags on. Did anyone here lose it? Is there a better thread I can post this on?
