When I was in the Wall St. store at the end of December, they brought a Kelly out to put on the shelf. I am not saying you'd have the same luck, but I think that they have some inventory left from the holidays.
Does she have light brown hair shoulder length ?i recommend madison. very very nice staff. just avoid the tall caucasian lady there. she's the snootiest SA i've ever known. she always looks at me as if i were some peasant. i was there 4 days in a row and she always looks at me like that. but otherwise the other staff members are very helpful & very nice!
i bought my choc 30 B there. it was on the shelf. after i came from the wall street store and didn't find any B there.
i was there last April 2010
Is Mini Roulis hard to buy in NYC? Anyone seen one lately?
It’s definitely hit or miss at this location. At least that’s been my experience- you never know what to expect. I’m going to try to stop by today to probably pick up another scarf or bracelet. We shall see the type of reception received when I’m on the leathers floor. And I certainly won’t be carrying a KI am just stating again that I really dislike the Madison Ave. boutique. Yesterday the wife and I met up for lunch and decided to stop by. Wife had her Anemone Kelly with her. First floor was great as the SA showed her some jewelry. Then we go downstairs and the pretentiousness begins. Wife is on one side of the floor getting chatted up by an SA about loving the color of her Kelly and whatnot. I ask another SA that I’ve spoken with before, to see the sample B30 so that wife can try it to see if it’s too small for her. SA immediately says “we don’t have any Birkins”. I tell her that I know that they carry sample bags for Special Orders and whatnot as we tried one for her B35. “No Birkins”. So I just go to my wife and we ask the SA that was chatting her up about the sample bag and she says “Oh sure, let me go to the back and get it for you”.
Rant over.

You mean I could’ve bumped into you had I decided to visit Madison yesterday?! That’s wild. I’m in a warm but messy winter coat today as well, but it’s been a long busy work week so I want to reward myself with some H trinket.I used to get very poor service there but fortunately I found an amazing SA.
Some are definitely pretentious but most are nice when you warm up to them. I rarely use my H bags there.
Yesterday I wore my boyfriend’s much larger ski jacket which makes me look like a mess but so warm in the frigid weather. No issues for me even though my SA was not there.

I was there yesterday afternoon!
I have to say I am greatly spoiled by my amazing SA at Madison. I love baking and often share cookies and French macarons with her when I visit the store. In January I went in and several SA’s whom I had never spoken to but recognized them by appearance came up to me, addressed me by my name and thanked me for the macarons. Sure enough my SA shared some of her goodies with her close colleagues so now I’m regarded as the cookie and macaron customer LOL. Long story short, if you treat your SA respectfully and engage them warmly they will take care of you. I also often visit the store before the gym wearing a puffer, sweatshirt and leggings, no problem being ushered into the private room like that (however I always carry a B or K or C when I go even with my workout gear lol).
You totally deserve it! I wanted to reward myself too but my SA wasn’t there so I’ll go next week. I think it’s so wild too haha! What a small world!
Omg next time you’re baking macarons save some for me! I had a black Carhartt jacket on! Wonder if you saw me.
I always wondered about giving treats to my SA but hesitated because not sure whether or not they’re allowed to/would like it or not.
Thank you for this insight. Yesterday evening I was more the observer (only picked up an MT) and browsed at my leisure. I saw client-SA interactions range from polite/patient to brusque commands. Having worked in retail during my college days, I’m on the side of a kinder and empathetic approach as the client.I should coordinate with you for my next store visit! I just made pistachio ganache this evening and will complete another batch of macarons this weekend!
Small treats are totally acceptable when your SA hustles for you such as negotiating a reserved bag from another SA to be released to you. Sincere chats are also very much appreciated, it's always nice to be a customer that your SA looks forward to seeing. Shared interests such as pets, food and travel don't hurt either! After showing my SA a few videos of my kitty going nuts for the H buldoc ribbons my SA has been bagging up a small piece of buldoc ribbon for him every time I purchase something (yes he's boujee AF sigh).
During the week of Valentines day I took my kitty to visit the store (pets are always welcome there) and he got to visit the private room and received tons of pets from SAs LOL. This goes to show relationships with SA's (from any brands) don't need to be so serious and transactional. A warm human touch and treating them like how you want to be treated make them appreciate you so much and in turn you naturally become their priority customer.
