Thanks. A buddy of mine lives in Huntington and he wants to start a search for his wife so I’ll tell him it is a great place to start.

Awesome! I only live a few towns west of Huntington. We had our favorite Chinese food there tonight (Albert's!!! [emoji39] Yum!) Actually the head of the ladies department in Mitchells (Huntington) used to be my SA at Manhasset.

Could the SAs move between the different areas at the Madison store? Ex, if I buy something from the Men's across the street, could they help me with purchases in the main building? Or will they ask me to speak to someone else working in the scarves or leather departments?

I find Madison very confusing .... my leather goods SA can sell across all departments but my scarfs SA can only sell on the main floor, scarfs, enamels, perfume... not sure if others have had the same experience

Just dropping in to say that, while I found the bag SAs at Madison super helpful this past week, the scarf SAs were horribly rude. I also brought in a Brazil Bandhini for cleaning and had the MOST clueless SA. She had zero idea what the scarf was, had to look all over to ID the design, had to ask the size (I mean, 140?!), did not understand why I didn't just send it out to my dry-cleaner even though I tried to explain that indigo scarves are not colorfast and are a special case....it was overall a bit worrying. She wasn't a seasonal temp and I'm surprised a store like Madison would have employees who don't know the basics.

Please forgive me if this thread is the wrong place for this question. I am going to New York in a couple of days, and am wondering if any of the Hermès stores there might have Evelyne in GM Etoupe around..?

I live in Europe and it has not been around in this color for some time in any nearby stores. They have them in blues though, at my local store. I dread going into eBay for this. But if I must, I probably will. I much prefer to buy new, or maybe go to a good vintage resale store in Paris or New York.

It is the "old" version of Evelyne I am looking for, not Evelyne Sellier. Anyone in NY seen one lately? Does Hermès still make this model..?

Yes, regular Evelynes are still made. Etoupe evelynes are tough to come by as it is a popular color, though not impossible. Definitely check both boutiques and ask an SA to give you a call if one comes in during your time in NYC.

There is a beton GM on the US website now. Perhaps keep an eye there as well. Good luck!

Thank you so much for helping, Mme. de la Paix. I´ll definitely look out for the Evelyne in NY stores. The Evelyne GM in Beton popped up in European stores online as well yesterday, as well as TPM in Vertigo - I´m hopefull Etoupe comes along as well any day now.. LOVE that color! :D

Wow they really are spreading out downtown- as a resident of NYC even I am suprised with how much high end retail is opening in every area of Manhattan. I do however wonder why they have chosen Meatpacking to be the larger of the two stores- as much high fashion has moved out of the neighborhood...
