minimal spend with a good SA

Demand for bags is high at Madison, and many regular clients spend quite a bit over a period of time. IMO, it would be hard for even a very good SA to make a case that a minimal spend client should get a Constance or a popular bag over a regular client with a strong profile.

ETA: @NightCat1313 , by minimal spend, I am NOT referring to slow and steady regulars who make up the majority of valued clientele. For a slow but steady client, I would simply advise talking to your SA about a likely timetable and exercising some patience. I think ones relationship with an SA is more important than location, but JMO

Ugh this is frustrating... I'm wondering if I made the wrong choice shopping at Madison over MP. I figured they'd have a better selection but I guess selection doesn't matter if you're not a big enough spender. I feel like my closet is turning into a sea of orange boxes yet no bag offer so far this year 😢

I am planning to go! It doesn't sound like a shopping event based on the invitation. It sounds like Christine Nagel and Diane Mahady the US President of Hermes will be there too? I'm not sure how dressed up you mean, but I will probably wear Hermes RTW "cocktail" attire. Not a gown, just something cute. It will probably be one of those events where you mill around and don't know anyone else, have a couple drinks and leave lol.

Is there a time period to complete my prespend? My financial situation has changed a bit, and I’d like to make some smaller purchases this year but don’t want to lose all of my progress.

Do you think it’s better to do a few bigger trips, or more smaller trips?

Is 1.5 prespend reasonable? My SA can be hard to get ahold of but I think we connect well.

I was at like 1.8-9 for my K25 over the course of 20 months (I’m not local to Madison anymore). K28 should be a bit easier. Have you asked?

Talk to your SA about the likelihood and timetable of you getting your 28K!
It sounds like you are on the right track and I look forward to seeing action shots. Also, I think reseller prices for 28K are coming down, so if your spec is harder to find, you might want to keep an eye out for resale as well (I shop both)

ETA: there is no rhyme or reason as to whether I buy a lot or none at all. So, I cannot really advise as to whether to shop in a big trip or smaller, more frequent visits. I would advise instead not to over think. If you love something, buy it. I don’t advise visiting with zero intent to buy, but sometimes the magic doesn’t happen. If that makes sense

Hi! Thank for you for getting back to me. 😀 When I did my big buy ($7k) I made a wishlist but have only gotten vague responses from my SA. He is very nice when we get together but is not proactive in reaching out to me.

What do you think about the time frame for prespend? I know the prespend resets after a quota bag, but do I lose all my momentum if extend the rest of my prespend out over another year?

Hi thank you so much for your reply. I’m glad the Kelly 28 is getting less popular … hopefully it will mean better chances.

When I get my bag … I’m going to be so proud … everyone will get action shots. I’ve dreamed about having this bag since I was a kid and never thought I’d have enough money to get it.

Other Hermes special events I've been to with "entertainment" has run the gamut from traditional singers and musicians to very quirky and over the top! So I'm looking forward to seeing what they have tonight! Will update with photos!

Enjoyed the event tonight! It was on the rooftop of the Meatpacking store. Weather was lovely, cocktails were delicious, and hors d'oeuvres were yummy. The special performance was an award winning poet Aja Monet. She was amazing, her poems were powerful. Christine Nagel gave a lovely speech about the Barenia scent and how it came about. And I was able to chat briefly with her later and she was so kind to take a selfie with me lol. The party favor was a full sized bottle of Barenia! Overall a nice evening!
