Last year my mom wanted a gold mini TPM evelyne, but NY was out of stock. She ended up getting it from either makati or Singapore, and the wait was minimal. Based on that, especially for a regular client, I believe that it is the timing of your request that matters. Fingers crossed that they have the right one for you

My husband says maybe we can look into the vintage stores in Japan during our trip in a month. I asked for a mini Evelyne a while back but haven’t heard any updates. I don’t want to be an annoyance to my SA if these are sought after bags.If they have one, I’m sure you can get it; just ask your SA

I miss 2020 back immediately post covid when my SA offered me a b25 black, one in gold, a rose Sakura p18 and a Constance slim all within a couple of weeks. Haha. I guess times have changed.

@Projectwork. Agree with @CathK95 ’s post above. There is a runway show on June 6. (And resee/rendevous— I get confused as to what it’s called). So perhaps more are coming then

My rose Sakura p18 needs to go to the spa. I would love to get another picotin to use in the meantime. It is a difficult bag to part with for months at a time. I think I am willing to consider p22 if the smaller size is too sought after. My husband says I should try that size on in Tokyo before requesting it in case it is too big. I am obsessed with this bag and I use it more than all my other bags, especially in the summer when it is such a perfect casual mom bag.
P22 is not big at all and I think you would love that too. Me it’s the opposite: dreamed, waited and was thrilled to get p18 rose shocking but I’ve only carried it twice in 1.5 years! I just stare at it bc it’s so pretty haha. I do use my tpm.

I’ve never asked for a picotin at Madison, but I did manage to buy a So Pink P18 online and was once offered a P22 in nata as a first time walk in at another random boutique, which I declined. I agree with @880 that if they have it, I’m sure your SA would offer it. Although I did ask my SA about the rose Sakura TPM on display and he said that’s a wishlist item!

So many Birkins on the streets of NYC that yours will be considered just another tote. As for areas to avoid, probably not the right forum. Treat it like any other big city.

Agree with @cravin and @Love Of My Life. There are lots of birkins on the Upper East Side and other areas.If you take the subway or which to be more discreet, simply turn it hardware facing in.
