Question: do newer sales associates get less bags allocated to them? Just wondering how they decide who gets to offer a bag. I guess it would make sense that the more clients one associate would have that would make sense?
I wonder the same thing. My SA of 2 years is fairly new and he mentioned something about pecking order when it comes to bags like b,k but that his manager tries to be fair when allocation.

Hi all,

I want to ask you a few strategy-related questions for getting bags from Madison Maison, which is my home store. Just to give you a quick background: I got one non-quota bag and placed an HSS order earlier this year.

1) Does this HSS order count towards one of "2 QBs per year" this calendar year? Or does it count towards one of 2 QBs in 2025 (assuming that I will get it in 2025)?

2) My SA knows and is working on my wish list for this year, which consists of 1 non-quota bag and 1 QB (Birkin 35). She implied that I will get them both this year (no guarantee, however), so I am not worried as it's just a matter of time for me. But, I still want to ask you this: If I got a non-quota bag and had an SO placed earlier this year already, would these 2 bags be likely offered in the fall and winter this year? Or, is it depending on pre-spend still? I get along with my SA and I am not in a hurry to get them (as I need to slow down my spending anyway), but am still curious about the timeline. Any idea about the timeline? (I assume that the store has or will have both bags soon, but may not offer them to me since they need to offer them to other clients first to be fair, etc....?)

I understand that the answers may vary by SA/SM, store, country, etc. So, I am asking very specifically for my home store. TIA!

PS. Congratulations to those who scored bags for Mother's Day!

1) SOs count as quota bags for the year in which they arrive and are paid for.

2) there’s really no way to predict any of this. Prespend will still matter (ie if you never bought anything again and just waited, I don’t think either bag would magically arrive) but aside from that, there is no way to know. I thought you had learned your lesson from your days as pegase_h to not put too much stock into any SA given timelines. :flowers:

Thanks for the feedback on Madison. The store feels a little intimidating on the outside and based on a lot of the negative feedback I’ve read. I will try to walk in on a bad weather weekday and see how it goes.
Go early on a weekday. Madison opens at 10 am so try to be there around 10:30. It’s usually not busy then and it will be easy for you to get an SA as a walk in. There’s a desk to the left as you enter the store. Just ask whoever’s at the desk to assign you an SA.

Thanks for clarification. But, I am not @pegase_h and "not putting stock into any SA given timelines."

I've never been to Madison but will be visiting NYC later this year... I don't plan on buying anything as I love my home store and SA, so would I need to make an appointment just to walk into the store to browse each floor? I just want to see the eye candy on display! :)

No appointment needed to browse the store. Just walk right in. There is no line to get into the store. If you change your mind while you are there and decide to shop, you can usually find an SA to assist you. You might have to wait a bit for an SA to free up in the busier departments like bags and shoes but someone will eventually free up to help you.

Yep, as @DoggieBags said, just walk in! I like to go up to the 4th floor and get a cappuccino from the coffee bar and sit outside and enjoy it if the weather is nice. Or you can sit inside and enjoy the view of all the bag eye candy on display lol.

Also, if you just want a little souvenir, I have purchased small items on vacation without putting it on my profile to avoid any awkward questions from my SA. Although at the end of the day, I don't think your SA would mind if you buy a small something while on vacation anyways. :flowers:

Oh P.S. did anyone go to the Hermazing event? I couldn’t make any of the times this week but would love to see pics if anyone went!

Hi everyone, I will be visiting New York soon and I am planning to stop by Hermes Madison. I want a mini bag (mini Lindy, mini Bolide or Evelyn). How hard is it to score one of these bags as a walk in? Anyone had previous luck scoring these bags at this location? Thank you

Thank you both @DoggieBags and @Bdbunny!! Can't wait to go visit - the outside view also looks amazing. No idea they also have a coffee bar!!

:eek:This is amazing! I've never been to a flagship store (in the US or abroad) so this is all so fun/new to me.
If you meet a nice SA and it's not too busy like on a weekday, they might give you a tour of the store and explain all the details about the artwork and the architectural details like the limestone staircase. I think they're trained to do that actually. The first time I ever went to Madison was on a lark and I ended up spending 3 hours there lol! I hope you enjoy your visit! (Bring your gorgeous touch MK and I'm sure a SA will beeline over to you when you walk in lol!)

And P.S. since someone was asking, I was a walk-in and did not get offered any bags that visit lol. But apparently some people have, so you could get lucky! I was not that lucky haha.
