Update: he listed 2 bags that aren’t on my wishlist so it’s a no! Bummer! Still dropping by late afternoon to check them out just in case ;)
Not a QB but ended up with some beautiful accessories for my hopefully incoming offer!

Pegase touch noir/anthracite & fringe twilly

So many Birkins on the streets of NYC that yours will be considered just another tote. As for areas to avoid, probably not the right forum. Treat it like any other big city.
Got it, thanks!
Yes it is safe for you to carry your Birkin around NYC, no matter where you are just be aware
of your surroundings.
Where were you planning to be/go?
Enjoy your time there
Next week! Ive never been to NY in the spring so I’m really looking forward to it :)
Agree with @cravin and @Love Of My Life. There are lots of birkins on the Upper East Side and other areas. If you take the subway or which to be more discreet, simply turn it hardware facing in. I wear mine open, but I keep my card case in the inside back pocket.
Yes I plan to be around west village and soho! Will also carry around a tote bag to put it in, just in case

Is Kelly To Go Wallet and Kelly Pochette considered a quota bag? Is it possible to score one of these at Hermes Madison with some spending history?
KP isn’t a quota bag unless it’s in exotic in which case it is consider such. Not sure about KTG but my guess is that it’s also not a QB. I’m sure someone else will chime in and confirm and share availability. Generally speaking- KP hasn’t been super easy to come by so it may not be available even if it’s not a QB and you have prespend.

I just asked my SA about wanting a summer bag like a Picotin and he texted “Hmm, I don’t think that is your style. Let me see what I can do about another style… (wink emoji) ”

I HOPE HOPE HOPE this is about to be my first QB offer but I have less than 1:1 so maybe not. A woman can dream!

Which bag did he choose for you? :) And did you end up buying it?

Looking for some advice. I started shopping at the Madison store back in 2021, but I was gone for about a year and lost touch with my old SA during that time, so I've been shopping with a new SA since January of this year. I have one K that I got with my old SA two years ago, and I'm really wanting a second one. I made a wish list with my new SA a few months ago but assume it will take a bit of time to get one since I'm pretty particular about size/colors. In addition to another kelly (or two or three ) I also kind of want a small or mini bolide. I assume the bolide would be easier/faster to get, but I'm not sure how that will effect my kelly timing. I've read on here some people say if you get a non-QB that means it may take longer to get the QB since you already got a bag. Is that true? I'd rather just wait for the kelly if that's the case, but if it wouldn't really matter then I may try for the bolide sooner.

From our experience, it would likely delay the Kelly.

I suggest you ask your SA. I also read here that it delays. I asked my SA and was told “only if you buy lots of non qb”. This may be specific to the individual. I was waiting for my first qb, had a high spend, had been a client for a long time. So again, I’d ask as your situation may differ.

Hi. I've been eyeing the black Kelly 28 since I was in my teens.

My only purchase history is 3 scarves for gifts, my SA was older and I'm not sure she works there anymore

The problem is I am really not interested in other items (except maybe the riding boots). Is there anyway I can purchase a Kelly in Hermes without meeting the quota?

prespend is different for everyone but there’s no way you can get a QB without any prespend in any of the NY boutiques. If you’re just after one bag you’re better off going the reseller route

I would love some insight from you all on my situation : ) Sorry for the rambling!

I have been shopping with my Madison SA since October of last year (I was working with an SA at MP, but he ended up moving to a different location and stopped answering my texts, so I decided to move on to someone perhaps less busy/more interested in working with me). I really like my SA now and enjoy shopping with him.
I purchased several items between October-December last year, but took a hiatus until just this month as I am currently using my funds on something else personal, which I did tell my SA about. I started shopping again this month as my SA reached out very randomly after months of no contact offering me a grizzly mini lindy that I had mentioned previously being interested in. I declined because the color wasn't for me, but made an appointment and purchased two items when I saw him. I was so happy her remembered me and my wants : )
To be very frank with you all, I am not a big spender. I spend around $1K-$1.5K per visit when I go and my total spend with this new SA is around $4.5K (not much at all, I know). There are many things on my wish list (rodeos, twillys, shoes, bathing suits, etc.) but I do not have the funds to spend thousands each visit. I can probably spend around $1.5K every two months. I can spend $14K on a B or K though but that might just be me being naughty with my money, lol.

Question Time - How likely/unlikely is it that I could get an offer after a few years working with him at Madison? I am in no rush as I do have a B25, but I guess my real question is, am I delusional for thinking I could get a bag if my 'ratio' takes years to achieve? If I don't spend a certain amount of money within like two years, does it just reset and I never get considered for a bag? Or do SA's look at spend over a full relationship with their customers for those who don't spend 3x the price of a quota in 6 months...

Hopefully I am making some sort of sense. I know Madison is extremely competitive and I am up against VVVIPs, VIPS, and high spenders, but a girl can dream. Appreciate any and all thoughts!

are you against buying resale?

I would consider that your spending is very healthy in my opinion. Some people here will say that your spending is too little since some other people easily drop at least $6,000-10,000 in each visit easily (especially in the Madison maison). But, all varies and what really matters is your relationship with the SA/store. I think you can follow your suit and still can get a QB. In theory and practically, if the store manager and SA really like you and value you, they can offer you the bag regardless of your pre-spend level.

Do not automatically assume that the pre-spend ratio has to be 1-4 per 1 QB. If the store and SA appreciate your loyalty, the bag will come to you eventually. I think people here (including myself) tend to spend too quickly to get a QB too soon. Some people on here exaggerate/emphasize/instigate that the pre-spend should be least 3x (so that it should be fair to them, maybe?). But, it was not the case for me, and I also know of at least 2 other TPFers who spent less than 1:1 on average and still got multiple QBs. It all varies by individuals.
