Honestly, your expectations are out of line with the reality of today’s competition. Having a baby is about the only “special occasion“ that seems to move a client to the front of the quota bag line. Otherwise, competition is fierce and clients wait several months, if not over a year for quota bags these days, even with a loyal 3-5x spend. It sounds like your SA likes you and thus got excited and over promised a timeline to you that they were later blocked from fulfilling. To switch SAs would be cutting off your nose to spite your face, imo. Patience (and continued loyal spending) really is the key with Hermes.
I was going to write a comment but now off to work on making a baby. I really want to have an MK this year :panic:

Thank you, @acrowcounted. I wasn't saying I would switch my SA but just had a thought on that. We will have to see how it goes. You and @880 are like my big sisters who provide a lot of thoughtful ideas and suggestions. :)

This is probably a silly question… but I recently purchased a H cashmere coat for hb and noticed the pockets are sewn shut, not just one or two stitches but all the way! Does anyone know if these are meant to be opened? I dont wanna ruin this nice coat!!

Meant to be opened. I live dangerously and simply wiggle a finger into a corner to loosen and then open it slowly and gently with my hand , but you can also use a seam ripper or a small pair of cuticle scissors. Just hook the tip of the chosen utensil under a stitch and snip or pull slowly. Or, if this description makes you nervous, the next time you are in the boutique or at the dry cleaner. You can ask them to do it for you.

ETA: if you want the coat to maintain it’s perfect shape, some choose to leave the pockets closed, but I need all the pockets I can get. :)

I know I would never use pockets on some of my dressy jackets – like if they’re shallow or uncomfortably high, so I leave those closed. If it’s a coat – give me all the pockets I can get. I do the same thing, just kind of put my finger in there and wiggle the threads out.

Question: Is it true that no one can have 2 bag offers (e.g., 1 quota and 1 non-quota) in the same month in NYC? Or, is it just up to the SM (or SA)? I read somewhere that one can only have 2 QBs and 6 non-QBs each year. Is there a "waiting" time frame for the next bag after purchasing a bag (whether its QB or not)? I was just curious...

Not true at all in my experience. But we all know there are no hard and fast rules.

Some pics from the Bloom event last night! It was not a selling event, just a fun party. You could browse and try on stuff, just not buy anything lol. (So no bag offers in case anyone was wondering.) They had performance artists throughout all 4 floors, singers, musicians, dancers, lots of passed hors d'oeuvres, food stations, and endless champagne and cocktails! Oh and an amazing fruit “tableau” (the best word I can think of to describe this) that was basically edible art! The fruits all had cream inside. The yellow “lemon” one was like a sherbet with a hazelnut flavored core. Sorry, I focus a lot on the food at these things… not the fashion lol. And of course lots of eye candy with all the H bags!

Gotcha. For a non-QB, my SA said I would have to wait until January. I guess I may try my luck in other stores. But, this may hurt the loyalty to the store/SA in NYC, right (even if I am still loyal to Hermes)? Sigh.
In my experience, buying a bag elsewhere isn’t going to hurt you in NYC. If you went and bought a suite of RTW…that might not be so good.
I tend to buy what I really like, wherever I find it, while keeping a focus for the big stuff in my 2 « home » stores (US and France) and I think this is way less stressful :flowers: But again, everyone has a different experience and many will likely not agree with me.
