I don’t know if my thinking/observation is correct or not…Hermes’s long standing wealthy clients maybe having higher prespend ratio than new clients for the same spec for bags. Hence, above 5x ratio for a k25 seller?
This boils down to... do wealthier clients care less about presend, just buy whatever they like, thus end up spending more money? I believe the answer would be yes.

I think there is definitely truth to this. I don't shop at the NYC store but as an example, my SA was joking that I could get a K25 for my upcoming birthday when my pre-spend (ex all leather) was only around 0.6x. I went back in a couple weeks later for a fine jewelry event and there were so many things I wanted that my pre-spend ex leather jumped to 2.7x. My SA pretty bluntly told me then that the next K25 she gets would be mine, even though it was already implied the prior trip. She doesn't have the bag available at this very moment, but while I am waiting I will probably keep shopping in the interim... But I could also be played for a sucker with no bag in sight

Way too many champagnes later... here are a few pictures last night's event as promised!
It was so much fun, beautiful venue with Manhattan skyline as the backdrop for the show, and SO many eye candy bags of course.

beautiful. btw, those derbys are amazing. what size did you take, (if you don't mind me asking), compared to chypre and oran? Thanks.

Hi Everyone! I am a long time lurker and finally made an account so I can talk to y'all!

I just recently started shopping at Madison after only shopping at MP (no longer at MP as I did not like the store/SA). I am going to be honest with you all and be up front by saying what I can spend is just not as much as many other Hermes clients, especially at Madison. I can spend around $1K-$2K per visit (once a month), but I don't think I can swing more than that with everything else going on in my life (house saving, living expenses, etc.)! I really like my SA and do not mind waiting for a quota bag (I love the brand not for their bags, but for their homeware, fashion jewelry, SLGs, and shoes). But am I in for a very rude awakening at the Madison store? Is a bag probably not in my cards in the next 2-3 years? (Especially since I will not be purchasing much RTW or any fine jewelry) I know it's hard to say as everyone's experience is different, but I look to you all for some insight as I know many have shopped with the brand for YEARS! Regardless, I will continue to shop the brand as I just like Hermes in general, but wanted to pick your brains in the meantime.

Thank you!

I’d suggest telling your SA the next time you are in the store that you are interested in a quota bag with xxx specs and see what he/she says. A lot depends on what your specs are and how many other clients are after the same specs. But your SA can’t read your mind so unless you speak up, they won’t have you in mind for any QBs.

I sparked a conversation with this SA because I told them I wanted to update my expired wish list! They do know my specs, but I guess I am just slightly, idk concerned is too powerful a word, just wondering if I will ever even spend enough for Madison.
Thank you for your reply <3

Thank you for your reply
It’s not all about spend. Of course if you are a major spender then you can jump the queue on a lot of things but for regular clients there is an element of luck involved as well as was evident with the TPFer who recently posted that they walked in to Madison with no prior history and were able to buy a b35. This after they tried WS and MP before they tried Madison. And I‘m not sure what you mean by expired wish list. I don’t think there are official wish lists at Madison. Your SA may make a note of your preferences but that’s not the same thing as an official wish list the way it’s described on the London thread for example.

Got it, thanks for clarifying! : )
I mentioned my preferences at the MP store over a year ago and when I went to Madison I asked if I could update and he said the noted preferences on my account had 'expired'? Interesting wording, but maybe only something he says to his clients.

Just thought it’s worth sharing…
My SA told me this week that each sale associate in Madison is given one mk to sell a month.

Super interesting and makes sense why it’s so competitive! but I guess that still could be a lot of bags per month. I wonder how many SAs there are total in the store.
