I went today11 am. Unlike last year, SH and/or H security (both were present) made you check in small bags (like my TPM). Lots of people checked in coats. The coat room was chock full of Birkins, mini K, Kelly Danse; Evelynes TPM and Pm, and Chanel minis. I saw women pose the rhetorical question but how can I carry my wallet. SH polite answer:: in your hand. If you are wearing a coat, I would advise checking it bc it’s just easier to try on shoes or RTW. Half an hour early and the line for 11 am was out the door but not too far down the block, and it moves fast.

There were a lot of shoes (many lizard strappy heels; H insignia mules and some loafers; sneakers; boots; and a lot of orans and oasis. No chypres. I could have bought studded orans, but I didn’t want to desl with the hordes. Most shoppers crowded around the shoes. There were a lot of CSGM and scarves (no one seemed interested) and a metric TON of RTW. No one was at RTW or lined up for the dressing room (limit 5 items in the dressing room and they will set aside your shopping while you change). Mainly women’s Silk separates; knitwear; twill and type things; leather coats and RTW; wool coats (I don’t bother to check for cashmere etc); sleeveless denim dresses that I had never seen before (I surmise that H sale may have pulled stock nationwide for a sample sale consolidation IDK). There were a lot of men’s t shirts, button downs, sweat shirt things — none of which interest DH,and a large selection of men’s sweaters. I was simply overwhelmed by the women’s racks, so I focused on a selection of noir leather pieces. There was a gorgeous one of a kind or very limited white shearling with black Hs painted on it that I tried on at the boutique in 2021 I think. But it was 29K. So even at 60 off not worth it IMO. @acrowcounted reminded me that in London or Paris H RTW used to have been further discounted (Maybe 75-80% off) but I dont think that’s been the case recently.

i bought a leather noir moto/biker jacket with quilted detail on the sleeves; an leather noir equestrian (button down, lapel) jacket; a noir leather sleeveless dress, all deerskin; and DH bought five men’s sweaters. All eight pieces 60% off for a total of 12K USD. we did see the earlier time slot people leaving with what looked like H blankets peering out of their shopping bags. i didnt see much home stuff. I asked if they would restock daily, and didn’t get an answer. The sale itself was much more crowded than last year.

My women’s leather pieces at 60% off ranged from 2220-3080USD. Original Full retail on the tags: equestrian leather jacket: 6550 USD; biker jacket 7700USD; leather dress 5500USD. These prices are much lower than current collection. Men’s original retail sweater prices I think were 1200-1900USD.

Great haul!! I love the leather dress on you!! I think I have that leather moto jacket with the quilting... and don't remind me I paid full price! :crybaby:

Very nice! I am going sat afternoon so I don’t expect much to be left. Just going to take in the sights because I have never been to one before. Probably won’t buy anything (but who knows).
@Tykhe I'm going on Saturday too! Not expecting much either lol! But yeah just going to be nosey since I've never been either. :P

Such hauls! I have been to the Paris sales many times, but never NYC. The difference is that anyone could go to the sales in Paris and there were no dressing rooms. Men and women just stripped down to their underwear (or less) in full view of everyone. I learned to dress appropriately and not give a damn after my first experience. Maybe things have changed, but I enjoyed the demo cratic experience. Anyone who wanted in got in after waiting in line.

I went today at 1pm. @880 did a great summary so I won't add much. As she stated RTW was plentiful, both men and womens. If you're a fan, you will be happy. Shoes were VERY limited in sizes 40-41 but good quantities in sizes 39 and under. They had belts and belt buckles. You had to select one of each, you couldn't just buy a belt or buckle alone. I don't recall seeing bangles or bracelets but I may have overlooked them(I focused on RTW). I didn't peer too much at blankets and pillows but from a quick glance it looked like a nice(but small) selection.

Here's my modest haul(not pictured, a tie for DH). I'm very excited to have found the jacket. I thought about buying it in Paris during my last visit but didn't take action.

Edit:Sorry, bad picture. Looks like a skirt but it's a pair of shorts.
