I’m shocked by the lack of mention of the new Roosevelt Field Mall opening here and on social media. Has anyone gone this week? Would love to hear experiences!
Was there yesterday. It’s a small store and they don’t carry bags or rtw. They did have lots of stock on shoes. The SA that helped me was actually temporarily helping out there. Many SA’s from stores in city were helping out during the opening.
I just went in today cuz my SA is helping out, and they had extra sandals, the teddy bear Oran’s, tons of regular orans and oasis sandals, even some fall shoes and sneakers not yet at flagship even. But no leather at all and some twillies and silks but not a crazy amount.
We went to Madison to buy a Eugenia headband. As we waited for our SA, we just walked around and the leather department downstairs was empty. There were a couple bags in the display cases, but to make it look less empty, there are now shoes on the shelves and racks of RTW. I’ve never seen it that depleted.
They will be there for 1 yr, after that who knows. I was told if it does well then it’ll become a perm store with leather!
Yes, my SA told me they literally have 3 bags on display. It’s so sad a lot of stock was sent to the new Austin store that just opened. It’s like a ghost town in leather
what kind of bags did they have? I'm going to NYC in a couple of weeks and was thinking about stopping by. There's no Hermes store in my city so I've been buying bags online but the online inventory is limited as well.
All I noticed were a couple 2002 bags. Didn’t really pay attention as I was more looking at all the different stuff down there that they used to fill the space.
We were offered a Constance Slim wallet in lizard by our SA, but wife doesn’t wear belts so it was a no.
I have been several times in the past couple of weeks and the leather floor is empty. There were more bags at American Dream.
Sorry, I’ve been (am still) away, so I have been distracted and didn’t keep up to speed on what has been happening with Roosevelt Field. I thought I mentioned a while ago that there would be no bags there, and I apologize if I didn’t; in this article I mentioned that it was expected to be makeup, fragrance and accessories and they’re also planning to open a location in Greenpoint:

I think the pop-up probably makes more sense between not getting back to speed on stock yet, the new Flagship and Greenpoint. I will probably stop by next week when I am back.

Is it okay to work with a new sales associate at the same store? I feel like my sales associate does not want to work with me anymore from the tone of texts. I normally send a list of things that I want and I go in to pick them up. No fuss.

Some people are not the best at texting and tone generally doesn't translate through text too well, but how is she in person? If she's the same in person, I'd definitely find a new SA stat. It's possible she was busy today and just wanted you to snag the items you want quickly? I work off vibes and this is supposed to be fun and a nice experience, so customer service is key. It doesn't seem like you're pestering her either from what you say, so if it makes you uncomfortable I'd definitely look out for someone new to work with. Maybe call the SM and see if they can match you with a new SA?
