You just reminded me it’s there. My hot yoga studio is a two minute drive away. Dare I go in for a look all sweaty after class today? :giggle:
yes afterall, you’ll be too busy looking at the goodies to be worried a outdoor being the eye candy  Iplan on stopping by next week. My madison SA will be intermittently helping out the pop up until they’re fully staffed so I’ll be popping up the store quite often

I was able to pass by the Roosevelt Field pop up and took some pictures during closing. It has lots of stocks for shoes, silks, makeup, perfume, hats and fashion accessories. No bags or any leather goods in sight. A small boutique but very cute with bright, dainty ambiance.

EDIT: I'm wondering if they are selling those round cushion seats. I would love to have one, they're so stinkin' cute!

I’m a Madison client. I agree with posts above that your SA was just trying to manage your expectations bc long time clients at MP and Madison who are 2:1 or 3:1, are still waiting for B25 or a smaller K. I don’t think it’s anything personal like she’s still warming up, it’s just others are ahead. The US is not as militant on pre spend as, for example, Asia, but the store SM has to approve your SA to make an offer. The SAs are also so tired of having to say, no stock, that I think they also give long lead times to see if the client is prepared for the long haul. A B30 will be much easier, but is not guaranteed. JMO
Hello, my total currently is at 2:1 ( both non bag and bag items at 50% each). Sorry for this silly question, but when people talk about ratio here, does it include non quota bag items ? If I would like a B25, do I spend another non bag $20k for example to make it at 3:1 ratio or another $10K to reach 3:1?

There is no guarantee that you will get the desired B25 your choice in a certain timeframe. Hermes would prefer to reward coveted QBs to high spending regular clients who may not need to worry about presoend. But, Everyone’s take is different depending on your SA relationship and purchase history. In the US, in theory, non QB counts in purchase history, but it seems universally acknowledged thst Non QB doesn’t count as much as other categories, like home, RTW. When I say 3X, I personallu exclude non QB. I also think B25 can be a bit harder to obtain. So, I would see your spend as 1X. if I added DHs prespend to mine (we share an acCt), my purchase history is more like 5X. So, IMO, it makes no sense to buy a boutique QB unless you also love other H items. It’s cheaper and faster to go reseller Otherwise.

In additon, I feel that in times of limited stock, if one’s SA can find you a really popular non QB, it might delay your QB simply bc other clients are also patiently waiting. . . If for instance, part of your prespend is a popular picotin 18, mini lindy, (or any mini bag, or TPM, these days, I almost see that as your SA getting you a bonus bag, not a prespend. But, that’s JMO and others may differ. Once you have the first QB offer, others will follow, and prespend, assuming you are a regular client in good standing, becomes less of an issue. Your SA basically would like to ascertain that a client who gets a coveted B25, will not disappear, but will continue to spend regularly Every season. You could also ask your SA how likely/ how long it might take for you to get a B25 in your specs. If the answer is a lengthy wait, you might want to ascertain whether it’s due to scarcity or your prespend.

Note: I also wait longer bc I don’t have a wishlist. (I’m posssibly nearing the end of my BK collecting. So, it’s kind of like if my SA, DH and I see a QB that looks like me, great. If not. Then pass.

ETA: agree with @Tykhe below. I think we may have similar shopping patterns lol. :hugs:

Agreed. I recently got a k25 and my prespend was approaching 5x too. It is what it is. I don’t even think I was keeping track at one point. I was just dropping into the store and picking up some rtw I liked to fill the hole in my soul that the awful new Chanel collections couldn’t do much for (lol).

Thank you so much for this detailed info , my SA seems to offer at 1:1 for B30 non leather but I also understand a size 30 is easier to obtain ( a friend of mine got recently at 1:1).
I do want a B25 as it fits my lifestyle better but I know it is not easy like you said. I am also torn whether to go to reseller route or not and stick to my current SA and spend the extra $20K in this case. I do like H fine jewelry and accessories. This would be my first ever Q bag and yes I do plan to shop for more but I am no where near a high spending client at all, I have only shopped at H for a-little over a year now but I am hoping to get the bag early next year after more pre-spending, I did get a ctg so I guess this is the bonus offer you mentioned lol

Aww lol I see, at least you enjoy the items you get so that’s good . 5x wow, hope you get the combo you are looking for

Sounds like a plan, and yes, B30 is much easier ! Here are a few posts (more articulate than mine by far) thAt might be of interest to you! Good luck!
SAs in the US earn commissions on every sale they make except quota bags. They get zero commission for QBs. The commission percentage varies depending on the category. Non quota bags have the lowest commission percentage of all the categories
ince compensation drives behavior, the SA is incentivized to have a customer shop with them across all categories so that they can make a commission against quota. The quota bags are a loyalty tier thing if you will, to keep one working with them. Just like any other sales relationship, the SA and

Hi Everyone,

I am new to Hermes and have recently started exploring the brand. Apologies ahead of time if this is an obvious question. But, is it better to meet an SA and consistently buy from a larger Hermes store vs a smaller one? I live in NY, there is a smaller Hermes store closer to where I live, instead of the large Midtown manhattan one. I am asking for a couple of reasons.

1. I would assume the large Manhattan stores receive celebrity clients, even every once in a while. I can’t help but feel a sense of they would rather service those larger clients if they came in. Which, I understand since I am NO celebrity.
2. I am not willing to drive to the city or carry large Hermes bags through boroughs. (Like many NY’ers I use mass transit to get in/out of the city.)
3. I can drive to the location closer to my home.
4. I also don’t want to build a relationship with an SA, only for the store to receive little to no stock of items or bags.

These are just random thoughts, and I don’t expect answers. That would be impossible to tell. Maybe just prior experiences? Or advice? If I am completely overthinking this, feel free to let me know. I tend to do that. Haha :)

I don’t think there is a helpful general answer to your questions so instead it would probably be helpful to you to read this NY specific thread to get a feel for the NY stores. Seems to me that Madison is generally the best bet for inventory (many of the resellers I see shop Madison, if that means anything) but the other stores each have a different vibe unique to themselves that maybe you would click with. Good luck!

Totally understand not wanting to lug big shopping bags on mass transit. When I shop in person at Madison, if I buy something bulky I have them ship it to me so I don’t have to lug a large and heavy shopping bag around. They do charge for the shipping though.

I shop in a bigger city store in my area although I can walk to a smaller store near my house.... I've found the overall stock and product variety to be much better at the larger store (in RTW, scarves, accessories, housewares) and thus it's a more fun shopping experience. I frankly had trouble spending money at the smaller store (due to more limited stock and variety) and it was much harder even getting an opportunity to shop due to fewer sales people too (this was pre-covid).
