They're making a department store size Hermes across the street of where the Madison location is at. My SA said grand opening is set to be on Sept 30.
Not going to an opening again eversince the Austin fiasco but i will be there a week after possible opening on my bday month. Not expecting to get any serious stuff but it will be nice to experience H in Manhattan since ive never been to any there. Im sticking to my local SA though.
I certainly hope the opening is better than Austin though I assume it will be given it’s a moving rather than a true opening.
The MP store opening in 2019 seemed problem free but that was pre COVID when social distancing wasn’t a thing and more people could be in the store at any one time.
Usually the tailor will give you an estimate when you go in. In my experience it’s never taken longer than 2 weeks.
Both have a very different vibe. I would just go to both and see if you personally click with someone
members have been getting offers from both stores; Madison is bigger and may have more allocated, but there are also more clients waiting. If you spend some time perusing the thread, you may also get a better idea
Anybody hearing specifically to the Madison store that stock levels have got worse over the past month or so? I went in yesterday after close to two months and was told that stocks are really low now. I used to go in every few weeks earlier in the year and my SA would text me if there are stuff coming in but I didn't get any text as reminders to make an appointment for the last 1+ month so I haven't gone in as frequently.
I exclusively shop at Madison and every time I’ve asked about a product (shoes, home, bags…) they don’t have it and or have been waiting for stock. I’ve been waiting for an offer on a quota bag for over a year and a half and have purchased over a 1:1. Also looking for some insight here - has anyone gotten lucky recently at Madison? Not sure if I’m being played with here
I think stock is low across departments. Last year, if I see something I want online I would sent it to my sa and she would have it transferred in. Now, I just go to the store and she has several things set aside for me that are in line what I normally buy. At some point you stop telling Hermes what you want and Hermes tells you what you want.
At over 1:1, I don’t think you are being played.
I’m at 3X1. I accepted a B30 last year and I’ve gotten other things I’ve wanted (including non QB, but nothing I wanted this year. (I was offered other B30s this year, but I’m looking for a very specific B25).
Madison didnt get the RTW I wanted; they are doing a world search for a dress
and there is a delay in homeware (Though they did get in a bunch of h deco).
Just now the theme from the British sitcom Are You Being Served started playing in my head lol.
There is plenty of first floor merchandise:silks, fashion jewelry etc. some homeware, not sure about shoes.
When I’ve asked my SA for things, he’s like didn’t you decide Against that last year.. . .
