I hear this varies around the world - Do non-quota bag purchases count towards quota bag pre-spend in NY boutiques? My home store is Wall Street, but I’ll be in Europe soon, where a GP30 would be cheaper. Would there be any “B/K pre spend benefit” to buy GP30 from my SA? If it doesn’t “count” I should just get it in Europe if it’s available right?

It’s my understanding (my home store is Madison) that non QB counts, but not as much as other categories. The prespend here is not as rigid as in Asia. It’s your call as to whether you want to wait for your SA to source the bag or if you want to pick it up abroad  You might also want to weigh supply chain shortages and the fact that many of us with +3X are still waiting for the right BK

For those who know meee! I was waiting for this exact color combo for about a year and a half! (From when it was assigned to be made for my store’s inventory to arrival) And it finally arrived from Paris just in time for Cherry Blossom season! My first of first Rose Sakura! (In PHW & Jonathan leather.) Much thanks to MP store & staff!

Hi everyone. After almost three years, we finally got back to NYC for a vacation. We used to be here 4-6 times a year for business or pleasure but the pandemic shut us out. I’m from Canada so it was difficult to travel. We arrived today and I decided to stop by the Madison store to see if I could possibly score an Evelyne 29 and a shawl i couldn’t find in Canada. What a beautiful store. I totally lucked out and connected with a SA. She was so helpful. I told her I was looking for an Evelyne 29 in a neutral colour but not black or gray. She went to the back to look. After about 10 minutes she came back and said there was one but it was reserved. It was bleu sapphir with a plaid strap. She gave me her card and asked me to get back in touch with her later in the day to check if it became available. A couple of hours later I sent her a text and the bag did in fact become available. I went back and picked it up before they closed. It was so great. I love the excitement of the unboxing when they remove the plastic. It’s always so special. She then gave my daughter and me a tour of the store which was amazing. It was a fabulous experience. I can’t wait to shop there again. Below is the stock photo of the bag from another members post.

That’s wonderful I hope I will be lucky when I go next month

Hi all! New here and I recently started my H journey at an NYC boutique. I was lucky enough to really hit it off with a Sales Supervisor. I bought a few items from the floor he works on, and after he handed me my purchases, I mentioned that I would be interested in a B 30. I told him my preferred specifications (leather, hardware, size) and said there was a milestone coming up that I’d love to commemorate with a B. He seemed very genuine when he said he can just let me know when he gets one in. There was no mention of a wishlist and I didn’t see him write anything down, but he could have done so after I left the store. My question is - should I follow up with him about formally creating a wishlist, or do I trust that he’ll actually let me know when he has a B? I have a few other items I can put on the wishlist besides the B. I’ve returned to the boutique since then and bought a few more items in the same dept and a different dept. There was no mention of a bag on this subsequent visit but the milestone did come up during our conversation casually. Also, is there a difference between a Sales Supervisor and Sales Associate when it comes to securing a bag offer?

That is a whole bunch of questions. As to a wishlist, you’ve already stated what you want and he said he’d let you know if they get one in. Let that situation play out. In normal stock times, getting the first bag is the most difficult and after that happens, you can discuss what else you would like. As to his not writing anything down, they’re professional sales people and likely he has his own way of working with his clients.

Sales Supervisors are the same as SAs in that they require a managers approval for the selling of certain bags, but Supervisors are compensated slightly differently. They get paid on larger numbers that consist of their attainment against quota , a departments attainment, and the boutique’s as a whole.

I shop at a NYC boutique and usually I circle back about a bag after several visits. Like maybe every third visit, I'll say something like "you know, I've really been thinking about that bag! Do you think I can wear it with my new purchase by *insert random holiday*?"

I never text about a bag or formally create a wishlist. I find that it's easier if you make your wishlist specific and not have too many things on it. I usually just pick one color and size and consistently mention that one selection so the SA remembers. Also, I have never had a SA say to me "hey your wishlist bag is here! come pick it up!" It usually just shows up by surprise when I stop by to buy something else.
