I would put in a plug for Hermes RTW, but looking at your action pic, are you a brunello cuchinelli RTW person? Bc the brunello next door is equally friendly and amazing. Though it’s oddlydecorated like Prada circa 1996, it has a nicer rest room than Hermes and refreshments and normal couches.
I'm a total Brunello girl. Love love love their denim, and the shoes are so beautiful. Hubby has a pair of the calfskin lace-ups for dress occasions. Never shopped the NYC boutique, though. Maybe I should start...

Anyway, I cannot speak for anyone else here, but every single experience I have ever had in the Madison location has been extremely enjoyable and satisfying.

I agree with this! Hubs and I have been shopping at Madison for about 7 years total, with 5 of those with one SA. Our SA never pressures me into purchases and has even advised me away from unnecessary things. During this time hubs and I have purchased gifts for each other as well as silks, bags and SLGs, fine jewelry, baby goodies, home goods, and shoes.

We communicated early on that there was a birthday that hubs wanted to buy me a Kelly for and our SA made it happen last fall. I know that seems like a long time to some but we held out on this big purchase intentionally.

Quick question! I was wondering if Hermes MP - SA can email me an invoice for a glenan bracelet (nothing fancy) and I go pick it up? My SA won’t be in this weekend and I wanted to pick it up Saturday before my vacation on Sunday. So I was wondering if I can just pay and pick up? I do this for other luxury stores but I wasn’t sure if they do something similar at Hermes. Or if I could go in and have someone else just ring me up under them?

Replying to myself - my SA got back to me and said they can set up pick ups. In case anyone was wondering for future reference.

For those who know meee! I was waiting for this exact color combo for about a year and a half! (From when it was assigned to be made for my store’s inventory to arrival) And it finally arrived from Paris just in time for Cherry Blossom season! My first of first Rose Sakura! (In PHW & Jonathan leather.) Much thanks to MP store & staff!

She’s absolutely gorgeous, thanks for sharing!

Hi I am new to the forum and I wanted to know the best way to shop the Madison Avenue store. I am interested in a 29 Evelyn. I have shopped at the store for several years but did not have a dedicated SA. What is your advice for possibly getting an Evelyn when I visit in May? Are appointments necessary for leather goods in New York like they are in Paris? Thanks so much

2 Questions!

1. Re: Hermes Spa services at the Madison Store. If I leave a bag in for repairs that I purchased on consignment, will my SA see this in my profile? Worried it could count against my purchase history and be looked down upon in my profile.

2. SA told me on Saturday that you can only make a wish for ONE type of quota bag at a time, i.e. you can't request a Kelly OR a Birkin OR a Constance, it can only be one of the three. Is this correct? Or just something told to non-VIP, people they don't consider serious customers, etc.?

TIA!

No appointment necessary. You should be able to just go downstairs and have a decent chance of buying one as Madison usually has decent stock.

1. You are overthinking it. Just go in and drop it off.

2. We have never had restrictions but this may be the way your SA is trying to keep their work in balance.

Thank you so much. Also I am not sure of the protocol is it OK to ask if anybody has any SAs that they recommend at the Madison store? I asked my SAat VCA and her person left during the pandemic. Thanks all

As I’ve recommended before, Madison SAs are extremely busy but normal people. Go in (I’d recommend avoiding Friday or Saturday) and strike up a conversation with one. If you have a good vibe, stick with it. If not, try another day. They’re so busy that the one that helped you before likely wouldn’t remember you. Just because someone has a good working relationship with their SA doesn’t mean that the same SA would work for you.

Thank you. I appreciate the info

yes to this!
I am new ish to Hermés and had felt similarly discouraged. In Feb, I asked about a piece I'd been looking for at Madison and the SA was nice and said they didn't have it, but would likely get more of it - he gave me his card, asked me to text him proactively, and took my info on a yellow post it- which he proceeded to stick on the inside of a cabinet filled with yellow post its.

I went downtown to MP on a whim, waited in line w/out an appt, and got assigned my now-current SA. I immediately liked her energy, she offered to do a countrywide search for this item and got the last one in the US for me transferred from Chicago. Not knocking the first SA at all as I had no history and he was lovely, but just sharing as I could truly tell the difference in vibe with the second SA.

When you know, you know!
Hi
Do you need to have an appointment for Hermès MP?
