IMO the silk scarf lining is far less important than fit. Typically whether you choose MtM or full custom depends on whether the suit models fit you or not. My DH prefers a fully finished interior with half lining bc it’s more work, but to fully line or half line depends on the weight and drape of the fabric. In NY men have a ton of bespoke choices, many of them arguably as good if not better quality
And if you want French MTM or custom shirts, I would go to Charvet paris but JMO, YMMV

So based off my readings, I think the best inventory for bags/leather goods is Madison followed by Manhasset > MP > Wall Street > JFK

I would agree that there are plenty of great options in NYC for bespoke suiting and custom clothing. For women too! But OT.

I’m theoretically middle ground. I buy what I like and am not overly concerned with QB (my collection is mostly complete). I don’t think your SA cares if you want a holiday souvenir. But, I like my SA, so why not get everything through him if possible (So I most,y buy through him)
I don’t like to carry bulky things home from an international trip and figure out customs etc (except for FSH); my home SA knows what I have, what I like, and what works; I shop at a major Flagship which tends to have a lot of merchandise; and, last but not least, if there is Something wrong, I have a friendly local contact who will fix things for me. Its a win win for both of us. JMO though

Hey all, I know this is a long shot question but I’m just wondering, I know stock is low right now but usually when do shipments come in? Everyday? Or certain days of the week? I’m contemplating on what day and time to visit the boutique right now. Thank you for any feedback.

This Q is asked and answered a lot. No one really knows and no one will advise you to beat the system by selecting days or times. If you have a dedicated SA you might inquire that they directly advise you as soon as new pieces (not bags) come in that meet your style requirements.

JMO, it’s hard to recommend a specific SA. All SAs are different and it’s all depends how you will connect with h/she. All of TPFers have different experience with their own SAs. Some of TPFers might have the same SA but that doesn’t necessarily mean that you will get the same experience or vice versa.Hi all, does anyone have a specific SA that they recommend? It took me couple of trips, tried and errors before I’ve found my current SA. So I would say, go in store.. buy something small and see if you can click with the SA. All the vibes you can feel right then and there. If h/she isn’t the right one for you. Then switch.
It’s hard at the beginning and you might feel discouraged but also keep in mind that SAs right now are super overwhelmed with their current and new clients and stocks are really low. Be patient is key. Good luck!
